Did you guys see that? They did it after receiving the Eastern Conference Trophy from Bill Russell. How cheap!

Because no other athlete has ever said those words.

Watch "America's Game 2004". It's the story of the Pats road to the superbowl.

In the video, it states that Tedy started this lockerroom cheer. It would be like after a game, Tedy would say "How do we feel about a Victory?" and then everyone in the locker room would say AWWWWWWW YEAH!!!

why don't you watch the video first before you make comments.

not that way it is very specific......they are trying to emulate greatness:D

Re: Le Bron and Cavs ripping off Tedy's "Awwww Yeah"

Yeah because no team could possibly have come up with "aw yeah" on their own, and "aw yeah" is so special we should really be pissed about someone using it.

I know its cliched at this point but I can't wait until the season starts.

Oh, okay, I've got you. Lebron must've watched a show about the Patriots Super Bowl win in 2004 in the last couple days and seen that and decided to copy it.

Give me a break.

Re: Le Bron and Cavs ripping off Tedy's "Awwww Yeah"

The Cavs can say whatever they want, that was the easiest money I've ever made in my life at +290. Sans Larry Brown and Ben Wallace, Detroit isn't the team they used to be. That was too easy.....

Hey, you're the one who came up with that conspiracy theory not me...

I look at it this way, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Yeah, actually. maybe my "how cheap" comment was a little too much. I guess I was just thinking that Le Bron and the Cavs had just achieved something they haven't done in decades and that they would choose something more original.

Nah, take it as a compliment, you know 'imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery' After what he did Thursday night, scoring 29 of his team's last 30 points and the only one to score in either overtime, he earned the right to imitate champions. He has taken a team of 4 stiffs and a super star furtherer than any team since Larry Bird's Indiana State team in 1979. No disrespect meant to the other 4 guys on that team (Bird's) but like Lebron's teammates, they were along for the ride, they weren't driving......

Re: Le Bron and Cavs ripping off Tedy's "Awwww Yeah"

Hoo hoo Robin, I invented Awwwww yeah. They're ripping me off, everyone rips me off. Tell 'em Fred.

I said "aww yeah" before Tedy...so Tedy ripped ME off!

Re: Le Bron and Cavs ripping off Tedy's "Awwww Yeah"

everyone says awwwwww yea

come to a highschool game after a win..you hear it a lot

Re: Le Bron and Cavs ripping off Tedy's "Awwww Yeah"

My guess would be both Tedy and LeBron got it from the same source: Macho Man Randy Savage ("Step into a Slim Jim... awww yeahhhh"). Or, at least, that's who the saying is most associated with, though it's not exactly the most original thing in the world.

I'm going to be sick.

Flip Saunders should be fired on the spot. He's made a mockery of a championship-caliber team that Larry Brown perfected. The last 2 seasons have been atrocious.
