Yes, it would.

It is really ****ty of him to do so is most all of the team went down there and he didnt. If half of them didnt go I cant really blame him.

Did he not go???

I'll never forget when Seymour held out but still attended the Patriots charity golf tournament.

If you are going to hold out, that is how it should be done.

Players say it is business but then they do something like blowing off a charity golf tournament or your teammate's funeral because of a holdout then you are showing that it is personal.

well said...

Well we don't know for sure that he didn't go. Do we? It's possible that he could have paid for his own flight since he wasn't in Foxboro with the team.

I really think Asante is going to do exactly what Branch did.
I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it.
The Pats should get something for him while they still can.
He's gone.

Isn't Florida closer to La than New England?

NEWS FLASH: Asante is still a free agent.

He is not part of the Patriots team until he signs his franchise offer or agrees to a contract. He will probably make his own way to the services because he is a good guy.

Don't expect him at mini-camp. He has no business there unless he signs. 7/15 is the date when things will start getting interesting.

True, but I would still hope that he would go and pay his respect to Hill and his family.

Also I hope I'm wrong but I don't expect to see Asante in a Pats uniform this season. He has made it pretty clear that he is a me first guy, not a team first guy and the Pats have shown they don't overpay like other teams will for a me first player.

Problem is the Patriots need a CB of his caliber, unless you want to see Hobbs and James starting.

Asante will be in a Pats uniform this year.

Of what caliber? The kind that gives up as many big plays as he intercepts?

If only that statement had any basis in reality. Samuel is easily a top-10 and arguably a top-5 CB in the NFL.

Yes, he should be there if he can, none of us really know what is going on in Samuel's life so it seems unfair to throw him under the bus.

In the old days (last week) fans would wait until a player left the Patriots before they stuck a knife in his back (Ted Johnson, Deion Branch, Adam V., Will McGinest, David Givens, etc., etc. etc.) Now days it seems like it ok to trash players before they leave.

The great thing about reality is that its relative and there isn't anything that is non-factual in my statement. But your statement is highly debatable.

im by no means trashing asante, im just saying it would be really nice and respectful if he would be there for M.Hill, thats not trashing him.

Samuel gave up the fewest YPR last season aside from RW McQuarters (outlier as a nickel back). I have the facts solidly on my side, while all you have are your delusions.
