Tiger is a resident of florida so that cool 100M in endorsements is completely state taxed free. That would be 9M in CA where I am. Now I know why a disproportional amount of millionaires "reside" in FL.

Interesting list. A lot of overpaid guys on it. I've never heard of about 90 percent of the NBA guys on it, which I wear as a badge of honor. The NBA is a ****ty, third tier league anyway.

Now that's a team guy: Brady agreed to forgo a $6 million option bonus so the Pats had the cap room to sign notorious malcontent Randy Moss.

Uh, wasn't it just guaranteed so it could be spread out for cap purposes? Not that Tom is not a great guy and a prototypical team guy, but geez, you'd like to see professional sports writers stop screwing this kind of thing up.

edit: after posting the above from memory I checked the definitive source, Miguel's page, who quoted that other definitive source, Mike Reiss:

"The Patriots took Brady's $6 million base salary in 2007 and paid $5.28 million of it to Brady in the form of a signing bonus. That lowered Brady's base salary in 2007 to $720,000. By resturcting Brady's contract, the Patriots saved $3.96 million in cap space in 2007. As for the rest of the deal, Brady's base salary remained the same in 2008, at $5 million. His base salary increased to $5 million in 2009. He was previously scheduled to earn $2.3 million in base salary in 2009. Brady's base salary remained the same in 2010, at $3.5 million. Brady did not take a pay cut as part of the restructure."
