Is anyone else as excited as I am about this coming season?? It just hit me today. I guess I've been in sort of shock and denial from the offseason changes.

Moss! Stalworth! Seau! Thomas! Maroney! Watson! Welker! Brady! OMG!

Moss showing up for camps he didn't have to! YEAH!!

It's all so exciting!!!

(and to those who will reply with "don't get unrealistic expectations", this post is about being EXCITED, not about expectations. I have no expectations. They will win games and lose games. But it's still exciting!!!)

Now if only they can sign Samuel, it will be SUPER exciting!

You should switch to decaf

Don't get too hyped. They still have to make it work on the field. It does look good on paper but so have all those Redskins teams of recent memory.

Yep. On paper is one thing but when these guys get on the field . . . it's going to be sick.

Regarding the Redskins, it's irrelevant because we're starting at a much higher place than they were, we're adding to a great core, not trying to buy a core.

I haven't given it a thought.:D

Yeah, im totally pumped about the Patriots prospects this year - of course the playoffs are a tough examination for even the most talented of teams so im not gonna pencil us in for another ring just yet.

Its great news having Moss really following through on his 'commitment' to the franchise by turning up for voluntary camp - looks like the guy has things worked out in his own head.

Two things I dont really get.

1. The continuing obsession with the lazy comparison to the Redskins - bad team getting worse through acquisition of overrated non-suitable players and the Patriots - very good team who have made addition of players who seem to be a great fit.

2. The general fuss over Maroney and the insistence on having 'another starting quality RB' - teams simply can't afford to have two of those guys on the roster - unless one guy is practically on his way out the door.

A premature e-fan-julator...:p Can't ya wait till you get in it? (...the season...)

I was watching an old NFL replay and it was just some game between the Rams and Chiefs in like week nine--nothing amazing, but it just reminded me how much I miss football and how excited I am for the season to start. But it's so far away!

Let's not forget injuries. They seem to hit us hard every year.

I started to watch every game from the last two years to get me through.
Last night I put on the games against the Rams were we scored a touch down of a field goal trick play. I forgot how great that game was specially since we had just been whooped by the Steelers, but we got the in the Championship Game.

I'm excited too. BUT, I've come to realize that even with this lineup and everyone healthy, we're not a shoe-in against the likes of Indy, San Diego, Denver, etc. Even the Jets and teams like Cincinnati are capable of beating us on a good day. So we SHOULD be in the mix for a championship but other than that it boils down to injuries and whichever way the ball bounces. I'll consider the season a success with a first-round playoff bye, whatever comes after that will be a roll of the dice.

The cravings are starting very early-this is the longest offseason I can remember. The anticipation of seeing this team take the field is unbelievable.
I can't wait to see how BB stacks the defense, especially AD,and watch Brady's offense in action. You'd think the offseason moves would satisfy this but they've only made it worse.
"Are you ready for some FOOOOTBALL"

That was an amazing game. I was really down after the butt kicking by the Steelers and then we lose Asante Samuel at the beginning of the game. I'm thinking, great, we are out our top three cornerbacks and we're playing one the best passing teams in the league. But the whole team rallied. They got down early 7-3 off a turnover but it was like they woke up and didn't look back. There's the footage of Brady on the sideline getting in the other players saying rise up, take it to another level. And they did. Troy did a great job at corner, and he catches the touchdown from Adam, and Vrabel catches a TD pass. That was a great game.

Why yes, I am quite excited for the upcoming football season. :)

That is PRECISELY the difference.

I can't wait to see the Hitstick in action :D

Well, no, I don't think the original idea was that the pats are a shoe-in because they look good on paper. We'll leave that for the Charger fans.

But there have been so many changes made, aren't you just excited and have a 'can't wait' feeling for the season to begin?

I can't hardly wait just for cut down day and see which WRs make the team. It is conceivable our two best WRs from last year's playoffs (Caldwelll and Gaffney) might not even MAKE THE TEAM!!!??!!

Holy YAC, Batman!

Great 'on-paper' teams have imploded without explanation, and it could happen to us, but still, I am cranked for this season to begin.

This has to be one of the most competitive TC's we'll ever see,at least for a long time. Incredible group of talent this year.
I have to think even non-Pats fans are interested in watching this team play.

It made me smile to see your enthusiasm. It's a good thing to get excited about your team imo. Yeah there are a lot of changes this year. But they seem like they could be changes for the better. It's gonna be a lot of fun to watch. If you can't get excited about this year's team, and you're a Pats fan, I've got to check to see if you still have a pulse!

Belichick builds his teams, getting them trained and used to each other. He does this to have them peak toward the playoffs. But conversely his early season clubs are experimenting and sometimes don't do as well.

This season we have lots of pivotal games to determine HFA early in the Season. Jets, Bolts and Bengals are early, presumably while AD, Moss Welker, and Stallworth are only getting introduced to each other.
