Hard to believe Stanley Morgan hasn't been included yet. He has over 10,000 career receiving yards, good enough for 20th All-time in NFL history (16 yards ahead of the #21 player, Randy Moss).

Stanley may be one of the most underrated of alltime. So underrated, i bet most of us didn't know he was in the top 20 for yardage.

I second Houston Antwine.

Also agree. Houston Antwine is on the All-time All-AFL team; I have no concept of why he isn't in the Pats Hall of Fame already. Particularly puzzling is that his line mate Jim Lee Hunt made it and he didn't. Antwine was the much superior player, and probably the best Pats DL before Seymour.

I know Stingley is the sentimental vote, but Stanley Morgan is long overdue for a Pats hall of fame vote..

It's going to be as busy as hell in the entrance to that Hall for the next 10-15 years as the stars of the Dynasty gradually begin making their way in, so the likes of Stanley Morgan (who would also win my first vote) need to be inducted soon. The problem with having a popular vote for the inductee is that memories are either short or they are young, and not all of those people voting will have even heard of someone like Stanley Morgan who retired more than a decade ago.

Of the first players eligible from the current run I would vote for Ted Johnson, who would become eligible in a couple of years. I just hope the poor guy's still around to be honoured.

I'd go with Stanley too. I guess they put one person in a year (which I like, that way it doesn't get too diluted by just throwing a bunch of guys every year.)

Here are some more details on the "The Hall at Patriot Place" following Wednesday night's Hall of Fame nomination committee dinner.

One former player or head coach will be inducted each season.

The Patriots will honor this year's inductee prior to the start of the regular season at the team's annual Kickoff Gala.

To be eligible for consideration, players/head coaches must be retired for at least four years.

The 27-member nomination committee -- which consists of five at-large members, past and present beat writers along with representatives from some of New England's largest newspapers, radio affiliates and local network TV partners -- will narrow the finalists to three each year.

Fans will have the final say, voting for one of the three finalists each year. Voting will take place on the team's official web site, Patriots.com.

This year's finalists will be revealed June 1 and voting will continue through Aug. 1

I agree Stanley Morgan is the most deserving and would get my vote if had one and only one. I think ther are only 5-10 eligible players that should even be considered.

That said, take a look at Irving Fryars all-time stats in comparison to other WR's:

10th all time in receptions (851) - Ahead of Largent, Sharpe, Lofton, Ellard and other all time greats.

10th all time in receiving yards - ahead of Monk, Joiner, Irvin, Allworth and many others

13th all time in receiving TD's -ahead of Clayton, Carmichael, Lofton, Biletnikoff, Berry and more.

I'm not saying he should be in the Patriots Hall of Fame, but if you want to talk under rated, Fryar the Flyer should be near the top of the list.
