I think he rather retire than not be looked at as the go to guy and that's OK, but he could be missing out on playing 2 or 3 more years.
I was never a fan of Keyshawn, but it's too bad that he didn't really go out on his own terms. I know he was looking forward to playing with Dwayne Jarrett, another USC alum, with the Carolina Panthers for this upcoming season.
he is going to do very well at ESPN. He did a nice job at the draft.

He wasn't the go to guy in Carolina because of Steve Smith, but that didn't seem to bother him. Had he gone to Tennessee or Green Bay I think he would have been at worst a number two receiver, which is what he was last year. I think it came down to money. He said he wasn't going to accept a one year rental deal for vet minimum, he wanted a good contract. Clearly a team wasn't willing to offer that, and I guess he thought it was better to just walk away than come down from his demands and have his pride hurt.
Besides the Packers, Johnson said teams expressing interest in him were the Tennessee Titans, Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots. He said a few other teams were interested as well, but he did not name them.
"They were very interested," Johnson said Wednesday, referring to the Packers. "We continued to talk to them. My agent continued to talk to them.
He can't be much worse than Irvin.
Another egocentric, louthmouthed, disrespectful, a-hole diva WR joins the "media".
Just goes to show, the squeaky wheel gets the most grease.
I've now been given yet another reason not to watch any pregame or postgame shows, on any network. Thanks a lot.
Did you even WATCH the draft ? Keyshawn did an excellent job, interjected with some excellent insights. To even try to compare him to Michael Irvin and other a-hole diva ex-WR's in the media is just an indication of you don't know what you're talking about.
