I know it's pointless to play could, woulda, shoulda, but I'm watching a replay of the Broncos/Steelers game last year, and Walker is just out of control. He has three TDs, like 130 yards receiving, and one of his TDs came on a 70 yard run.

I know that it came down to us and Denver as the two teams who were to get him. We ended up with Chad Jackson, and we won't know he is for a few years. I know WR isn't a problem anymore but I think Walker would have made a HUGE difference, maybe THE difference in our fate last year.

And I remember people weren't convinced he was an elite receiver. He is one of the best recievers in the league.

lets look forward to this season with the great free agents weve signed, loosers live in the past

You and I have different memories. I recall that two or three times he was supposed to come to Foxboro for a workout and every time he refused to get on the plane.

Given that he wouldn't come here to try out, there was pretty much zero chance the Pats were a possible landing spot for him, never mind a front runner.

Again, what I remember is that people weren't sure his knee was healed.

Not to mention his head...as demonstrated by his passing up visits to NE and signing with Shanny's demonic institute.

I would have been thrilled to have Javon Walker in 2006. He even might have given the offense the push it needed to get to the Super Bowl. But for now I am happy with Moss, Stallworth, Welker and Jackson instead.

hey you win some and you lose some in the free agent game

while Javon Walker would have been nice to have last year, I am more than satisfied with our receiving corp for this upcoming season.

If you want to look at who we missed out on, just remember that we moved up to pick Chad Jackson by trading with the Packers, who ended up drafting Greg Jennings with our pick. He is looking like a better prospect at this point.

The Pats could not get Javon Walker on a plane to get to New England .. He wanted to go to Denver.. With that said, Im please with the WR core this yr..
