Seriously they are blowing the stomping thing way out of proportion, I mean it wasn't a good thing to do but what should he do, walk away let his teamates get beat up, or ask them "please stop fighting". stomping might not have been the best thing to do but he wasn't the one taking his helmet off and whiping it around like an animal

I almost wished I went to one of his games when I was stationed down there for THREE YEARS, but I can't stand any team of any sport that orginates in Florida, especially anything Miami so I never went....

It's sad. You missed a lot of great college football. I dislike Miami, but then my brothers and sister went to FSU and FU (well UF). I went to one of the FLA-FSU games. It was really awesome. College football is much different in the South.

Reading his scouting report they say he hits like a line-backer. He's 5'10 195,and looking at his picture it looks to me like he could add 10-12 lbs.

Fencer's got it right... a big school's football team coming out and being nice to sick kids is a PR event.

Nothing against Merriweather, hell, I was rooting for this pick.

But what the hell did you expect, pictures of the team going to a childrens hospital and stomping on their ICU beds?

I don't know how many teams do nice PR charity things... but I bet you can google other big school teams and find similar photos.
