I am going to a private function where BB will be the keynote speaker and we will get a chance to ask him questions. I was hoping to get some good smart football questions to ask him and of course I will share his answers with the board. any help would be appreciated. keep in mind I am not a hard nose journalist so I am not asking anything that would annoy him. I would love to have some good X's and O's qs and a few good history and SB run Qs?

thanks guys I am sure you will come up with some good stuff

You could go the "Dating Game" route and ask him something like, "If you were a plant, what kind of plant would you be and why?"

The questions I would have, he wouldn't answer ;)

(like "what was the deal between you and Mangini last year").

Finding an interesting question that he would answer is a toughie.

Probably something like "Of all the Patriots who have come and gone since 2001 which was the most difficult to see go" would be mine, I guess.

Typical Jet fan response there......

I would try to get him to focus on talking about what he likes to do the most...teaching football. Ask him some real football questions and he may go on for along time.

Anyone else?

dose richard seymour create the same type of problems for offenses as LT did for you in new york or was LT just a special player

You could ask that. Or you could ask how it feels to be copied without shame by an entire franchise (jets) so they can win. You could also ask him how it felt to have to stock the jets coaching staff with former pats coaches he groomed so they could win some ball games. That would be a better question!

One that comes to mind is to ask if it is just a coincidence that he and Pioli have yet to draft a starting linebacker. Are New England's requirements at linebacker so specialized that they are better filled by veterans?

Great opportunity! Have fun and be sure to give us a FULL report!

There is only one question to ask.

How long will you coach the Patriots?

What do you think of the Boston media.

do the plant one....

He, it was a FUNNY response. You guys take things WAY too personal!! You think BB came out of the womb with a whistle in his mouth, or do you think HE HIMSLEF had some mentors?? Jeez!!

Actually, there was a great article around AFCCG time about BB and his start in coaching with the Baltimore Colts (not coaching, but "gophering"). He still has gratitude for guys like Marchibroda

Could you define a "Patriots" type of player?

It's not football related but I've always wanted to ask him why he didn't go into the Navy. He seems to have such reverance for the institution, and he could have easily gotten into Annapolis. I'm glad he didn't but I've always wondered why he didn't consider it.

Have fun and thank him again for all of us.

Personally, i would talk lacrosse with him, since its always been my favorite sport to play (football to watch). I know his sons play as well, im sure he would love to hear some questions asked that wouldnt be asked at a press conference if you know what i mean.....

Who is the most talented player you've ever coached?

Not that he'd ever answer this one, but my question would be "How close were you to benching Bledsoe in 2001?"

I would be curious as to how he analyzed the mistakes that were made in his first coaching stint in Cleveland, and adapted them when given the opportunity in New England to be a head coach again. There are a lot of re-tread head coaches in the NFL who failed in the past, and BB is one of the few who have been able to break the mold and have success.

Also, I'd be curious as to how he assessed the 2000 season, and if he had any doubt in his ability after the 5-11 campaign.

What's Ernie Adams up to these days?

some good ideas so far....thanks...any X and O questions?

One thing I always wanted to know:

When did you realize you had something really special in Tom Brady?
