"According to Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin, Warren Sapp has lost 49 pounds since last season and currently rests at 285.
Sapp showed he still has a lot left in the tank with a huge 2006 season (10 sacks, 67 total tackles). At his new weight, the 34-year-old should remain a highly productive under tackle with Terdell Sands on the nose."

Wouldnt losing 49 pounds be a bad thing now?

Thats a ton of weight for one offseason.
 
He is a true prick.
 
It doesn't mather if he is at 285 or 334 he is still a jerk.
 
It would take more than 49 pounds for Sapp to get down to 285.
 
Shouldn't that jerk retired two years ago after the Patriots and Ross Hochstein beat his ass?
 
I saw the thread title and thought, holy crap, Warren Sapp got his head cut off?
 
The only way Sapp could lose 49# would be to shed his ego.:p
 
I just remember his ridiculous commentary pre-SBXXXVIII, and how he thought the Panthers defensive line was going to tear up the Pats O-line and Carolina was going to win it all. What a douche.

Well everyone thought that, and so did I. But I thought we were going to win. Very good game btw:)
 
Best SB win ever by the Pats. Most memorable goes to XXXVI

Sapp is still a punk. 49 lbs lighter or not.
 
Sapp if funny as hell, his commentary on america's game 2002 Bucs, was the best so far by any player.

He's not that bad of a guy, I can think of alot worse, why is everyone so critical of him, just cuz he thought the pats O-line was in trouble?

we should thank him he probably Fired them up with his comments.
