Will break a record this year I predict. I bet you 10,000 + will show up on Day One.

They'll be seating folks on the water towers.

Watch them charge admission!

I enjoy going to camp, but this yr will be very entertaining....

If they charge admission it allows other teams to sent scouts--that ain't happening!

I've gone many times over the past few years, and last year believe it or not was actually not that crowded.

I think it had to do with the team losing McGinest, Vinatieri, and Givens while Branch was still holding out.

Here is a picture I took at training camp last year. This is when I showed up a half an hour late for a practice. I was stunned by the scarcity of the crowd.

YOu are right though. It will probably be crazy this year. I am not looking forward to weaving my way through the crowds.

nor am i. this year is gonna suck!

I had the same thoughts; I guess I'll have to get there even earlier this year. It'll be even more packed than usual, but it'll still be fun. I'm looking forward to it.

The Pix of the aluminum bleachers remind me of how hot that place can be, last time I sat there felt as though I was sitting in reflector oven..

They don't need to charge admission. The Patriots make their money in the amount they charge for beer, water and food.

You beat me to it. The waters were like $6:eek:

I was just saying this to my brother...training camp is going to be insane. I haven't been since Bledsoe's second year (pretty mellow) and I really want to go again, but with an infant and the heat and the kind of crowds I anticipate, I don't think it's a smart idea this year for me.

I am getting tickets for when they come to play the Ravens, though. I don't care how much it costs.

And speaking of charging admission, I believe the Redskins charge it for scrimmages. Not sure about actual training camp though.

Where so they have Camp at? That would be nice to take a day off and go.
Beats working.
Are all practices open to the public?

Oh man, you got that right! Those things are brutal on a hot day.

ESPN crews will probably be there regularly to watch Moss.

They have camp on the practice field at Gillette over by the bubble. Most practices are open to the public; they post a schedule on the patriots website. Admission is free and you can buy food (but at pretty steep prices). If you have kids they often have Punt, Pass, and Kick competitions going on and they have a whole section of the parking lot where they set up inflatable football games where kids can kick the ball through goal posts, throw it through a target, etc. It's really a lot of fun. They also make one group (LBs, O-Lineman, Running Backs, etc.) available for autographs after practice. They walk over to the stands. Every time I've been there Tom Brady and Bruschi have come over as well-my daughter has quite a Patriots autograph collection going.

Yep, they do a good job at training camp. We go every year, the kids really like the activities they have in the parking lot. If you go a weekend (when we usually go) it can be quite crowded.

This year will also be a mess because of all the construction going on with the "Man-Mall". Half of the parking lots on the stadium side of route 1 are torn up. Including the lot where the old Foxboro Stadium sat, I wonder if they're going to move the plaque they have that showed where Adam's snow bowl kick was made from?

What's the update on the Man Mall. Is it starting to take shape ? I'm a P-10 RV lot guy so I only saw the construction equipment working in the lot beyond the Practice fields last summer. I cut through by the plaque walking in on game days. I didn't know they were going to dig up that one as well. Forget training camp that sounds like a problem for game day parking.

I don't really know how exactly how deep they're going to be cutting into the lots in front of the stadium (by the plaque and water tower), but it looked to me that they're making the off ramp larger (going towards the pro shop from the NB side of route 1). Also there's a truck with a "Bass Pro Coming Soon) sign just south of the pedestrian flyover, so I'm assuming that's where that is going (I saw a few walls going up as well). They were tearing up the asphalt in the old camper lot as well.

I had heard a rumor that the pro shop was going to be torn down (and that's where the movie theater was going), but that might be in 2008, and it was only a rumor.
