Potential Eagles Cuts

Trotter's knees are in pretty poor shape and it has hurt his range a great deal, which is why the Eagles are considering moving on. They were 7th worst in the NFL against the run, giving up 130+ rushing yards a game and 4.5 rush yards per carry.

If he were released I suppose the Pats could take a flier on him as a run-down LB, but he is pretty much limited to that role. He is a liability against the pass and is nearing the end of his career.

I think if the Eagles do end up cutting him, he definitely is worth a look. I do think he'd have some value as a 1st and 2nd down run stuffer.

Remember how many Pro Bowlers they sent to in 2004 from that defense? Talk about falling off.
