man, i miss willie

These shows always alternate for me between chills of realizing what we have that can never be taken away and sadness at all the players who leave for, say, $7M instead of $5.5M per year.

I miss Willie too.

I miss Willie too.

his play against the running game went so underappreciated
i always tried to tell everyone how great he was, but nobody seemed to believe me
thats what worries me bout our linebackers now
their ability to contain the run, especially on the edge in contain

wow, im so pumped for the season aready
watching this is not helping that at all lol

Great program, I've got it and the 2001 and 2004 shows saved now. Best line in the program was BB saying during the 2002 season "Man do we suck!"........he's priceless, love the behind the scenes stuff about him, talk about someone who will be missed once he retires from coaching.................

that will NEVER happen
you hear that God!

(you'll really only get that if you saw that episode of strangers with candy....see "candy" told her teacher that her dad had passed away, and her teacher said somethin like "oh, candy i'm sorry, but it has to happen, everyones dad dies sooner or later", and she says "aww, is your dad dead too?", so the teacher replies "no, my dad will NEVER die, you hear that God!?!?!?)

I miss willie too. I hope he has a chance to come back to NE as a Brown so we can give him a 5 minute long standing ovation!

this year
october sometime
i cant wait

Well Willie chose to leave rather than come back for less money. I loved him too but in the end he's no different than Law, Vinatieri or any of the others.

NFL Films did a great job with these. I've got the '01, '04 (and now) the '03 Patriots shows recorded. I also have the '90 Giants, because Belichick was such an important figure on that team. I watched the '01 tonight and it felt so long ago. Damn, that was a good time.

hes much different
how many times did he restructure in order to be able to stay here?!?

I bought the 2004 one for $1.99 from itunes, they don't have the other two Patriots ones though :(

Restructuring usually doesn't result in less money.

He chose to be at the Browns' press conference holding their uniform.

oh i know
but it pushes it back and whatnot
its just something he didnt have to do you know
but he did it cuz he wanted to stay here
i know he also did it at times when his stock was a lot lower due to injuries etc, so he knew he wouldnt get any more if he left, but still he was always more than willing, and did it either two or three times

i dont think ive ever disagreed with you bout anything bro
but you know i cant ever say anything bad about willie, lol

Like I said, I love all those guys. Willie, Ty, Lawyer . . . it just makes me sad that they leave over $2M when they have $25M in the bank. Whatever, we have 3 SB thanks to those guys and probably have two more to come before all is said and done.

it's the mo vaugh reason
show me you love me

i never really got it either, but so many players do it, so theres def somethin to it

(couple guys that havent, and def stayed for much less: bru, koppen, big papi...)

I will be watching at 2am I believe. Can't wait.

I think I'm gonna buy all three from the NFL shop when I get some dough...

Willie was a leader, you can't say that about law or vinatieri.

I remember when everyone thought Willie would never put a full season together, with all the injuries he had, It's rare to see an aging athelete get healthier and better when he's past his physical prime, that just shows you how dedicated he was.

Harrison mentioned how he was studying film before 6 am, before anyone else was there, he was a great teammate and leader, thats why willie is different. not to mention he has style.

p.s. Did anyone see america's game on the 2002 Bucs, Warren Sapp is one funny guy, I hope he becomes a commentator, he would be better than alot of theese guys. :rocker:
