see 8 men in the box this year.

What if we become like the Colts where people play nickel against us the majority of the time?

How sweet that would be. . .

Against Denver he will. Man to man coverage on the outside.

I fear we will see the Donkees in the playoffs this season...

There will be no need for 8 in the box. He'll be subluxed by week 2 when the Chargers turn out the lights ;)

Well that's the beauty of it. Champ may be able to take out Moss or Stallworth but Dre Bly will struggle against the other. Then there's Watson and Welker.

This ain't the 2006 Patriots, Shanahan.

You don't think Bly can cover Stalworth?? I hope not, but I see the Donkees making just as many key offseason moves as the Pats have done.

Dre Bly love has taken on a life of it's own this year. He's a solid guy but he's getting up there in years now and certainly doesn't have Stallworth's speed.

Regardless, the beauty is that when we played Denver last year Ben Watson was our best receiver. How things have changed.

Bly is older..and hes not known as a speed corner..hes known for making plays but Bly trying to run stride for stride with Stallworth? No..thats why a safety will be over the top. I saw Champ nearly get beat by Moss twice in their 2nd meeting and if Champ played zone..they made sure where Moss was that 2 players were around (endzone specifically i remember)

if Denver respects Stallworth-Moss..then they will definatley not bring a safety in box

I agree 100%. Maroney with less pressure and a zone blocking scheme?

He could make ridiculous progress this year.

That is assuming Maroney can stay healthy all year...

I have just been "scared for life" by personally witnessing 3 losses at the hands of the hated Donkees in the last 2 seasons. Also living here in Donkeyville I hear all the positive spin firsthand.

Picking up Bates as DC is a bigtime addition to their team. He will mold their revamped D-line into a more effective unit. Picking up Graham will help the passing game and Travis Henry will have the usual huge year for a Donkees RB.

Not to mention a cake schedule for the 1st half of the season.

They are geared up for another run at the playoffs. The biggest X-factor is of course the QB. Let's hope Cutler doesn't "get it" this season or the next.

Having Moss and Stallworth on the field creates a field day for Maroney & Welker.

Can't the season start next week?

I disagree, opponents will put 8 in the box starting in the 4th qtr, when the Pats are up by 4 TDs and running out the clock. :)

Maroney is going to have a great year...Our offense is retooled waitng for actions....Our defense is going to be awsome this year...Sleepless night for teams we play:D

All the folks who argued that Addai is so much better than Maroney will eat their words when the league gets to see the two of them running against equal defensive conditions.

This should be good.

NO ONE can cover Moss one on one (assuming he is still the Moss of old) and that includes Champ Bailey.

Seriously, I respect Denver and the fact that they have been able to beat us but I think that has caused some to think they are better than they really are. The way people talk about them you'd think they have won three of the last six Superbowls or something.

I really admire Dillon, but do you think he was at home after the draft saying Ahhh Sh*T! Come on!

Some one get me Belichick's number. I am going back to Cali.... Errr New England.

Dre Bly cannot cover etheir or Stallworth/Moss..Bailey can Keep up with Moss but Moss WILL beat him to the ball 7 out of 10 times...even at 30, the man can jump a mile high. Even so, Who is going to cover Welker? Watson? What if Mills pops up at FB/TE...Maroney in the flats?..I really dont see a defense other than the ravens that could give us problems..and thats only because Ed Reed is something else.

Co-sign. I'm so F-ing excited to watch our offense...
