Re: I guess you could say the Patriots are America's Most Hated now

As an Indy fan I ask: WHAT POST SEASON SUCCESSES???? Do you mean post regular season ? please clue me in as I wan't to enjoy them. Since the SB their has been NO successes in my book!!! I am sick about the whole thing.....enjoy your trip to Indy this year as I feel you won't be back for another 5 years. It took so long to climb the mountain against you guys and I feel our front office doesn't give a ****.

Do I sense your jump on the bandwagon here? - Theres always room for Colts defectors to the REAL deal here. :rocker:

NEVER!!

Would any of you EVER jump on the Yankees wagon??

Now you know how I feel

just being honest and giving props where due that's all...something many of you have a hard time doing as I still hear the flu/heat AFCC conspiracy theory on these boards.

I'm not writing off your team just yet. Nothing is decided in the off season, and you have a solid team. We went through the same thing of losing FAs after SB successes. The Colts have proven they are good at drafting the players necessary to perform at the right positions. While the salary cap situation is making it tight right now, that doesn't always translate into failure on the field. I wish I could take solace in your comments, but your team will be in the mix for awhile.

WARNING:
Bump from half a year ago.

Now, after HGH, after Cameragate, after pummeling the first four opponents (without Richard Seymour or Rodney Harrison).... how do you think we're rating on the hate scale now?

Re: I guess you could say the Patriots are America's Most Hated now

I've always hate Dallas, even more during the JJ days of the mid Nineties, because I got so sick of them winning all the time. So with that said. Enjoy the hate because its born of jealousy, and if you hooked another teams fan up with some sodium pentathol they'd tell you "yes I wish my team were like the Pats, deep down I respect what they've done." and how much they've won.

As one (of many) who lived through the horrible years, I know I speak for many when I say:

'tis better to be great and hated than suck and laughed at.

The only thing that saves them from the "absolutely" most hated team IMO is the respect they give to their opponents, and the game. It's their greatest weapon against the media.

1) I think the Patriot organization almost single handedly made Indy a better team. We HAD to rise to the competition or fold.

2) When a team wins all the time doesn't it get old for those who are not fans? (USC Football, Duke Basketball....)

Re: I guess you could say the Patriots are America's Most Hated now [Bump from the pa

Do you really think we are the most hated team? If so, that really bothers me.
So much so, in fact, that I think we should apologize:

Dear Football Fans Across the Country:

We apologize for having the best owner, the best coach, the best front office, the best stadium, the best team, the best fans and the most succcess since the turn of the century. We will try not to let this happen ever again, just as soon as the next century arrives. And, for those of you who root for a team whose quarterback resembles a mule, we apologize for that, too, as well as for the fact that you live in a flat, boring part of the country where one of the main sporting attractions is watching cars drive around and around in a big, fat oval. And we also apologize to those fans whose own coach resembles a big, fat oval, and who cheer when their own quarterback gets hurt, as it is clear your sense of propriety is deadened by living in and about one of the largest, most crime-ridden city in the world.

There, think that will help?
