Just listening to John Dennis at work now and I must say this guy is the biggest jerk around. Does he not think the BB has done a thorough investigation on Moss and Merrriyweather and would never take or trade for a player who would be a cancer in the locker room.
And if memory recalls I don’t think John Dennis is such a squeaky clean guy himself. Wasn’t there something about inner city kids and gorillas for which he was suspended? But yet he wants another chance, but is not willing to give the Patriots the benefit of the doubt. The same organization that had / has Correy Dillon and Rodney Harrison toeing the company line? If memory serves these guys were know as malcontents and delinquents when they came here, but look how that turned out for the Pats! John Dennis is an *********

I think the Media in its self has forgot who the Patriots are as a team. I guess people can't make mistakes in there lives and are doomed forever cause of them according to some media heads.

From what I hear I think most of the Pats fanbase is both excited and happy that we got Moss. The Media needs something to complain about since they can't rip Francona or the Sox.

Dennis is just a dope who likes to be controversial for the sake of getting ratings. The real jerk is his partner Callahan. There's only 1 way to shut those 2 up - don't listen to them. That's what I do.

There is something wrong with you "recall" if you recall Rodney being a malcontent or delinquent. He came here as a free agent only.

Now go wash your mouth out with soap.

This is sports-talk radio. Dennis is just playing devil's advocate. Before the show even begins, dennis and callahan will take different sides of the latest topic just to get discussion going for the listeners and phone calls. Radio 101. This is part of the job. Off the mike/radio they will have their own personal thoughts on a subject that will not reflect on air.

The when Moss and the players do not talk to the media because they are ***holes, they will be perceived as bad people and malcontents...what a joke.

I agree totally...the guy is a total hypocrite..the day Dennis gets on a soapbox and talks about character is like Jack the Ripper wishing for law and order....sorry the guy is a total and complete hypocrite..I listen for a sec and then they are GONE...they basically *****

To add to the premise that Dennis is the Pot calling the Kettle black, Dennis has problems with alcohol and is a well known womanizer from his days at CHannel, which is one of the reasons he was let go. He landed on his feet with the morning show, which I deem unlistenable...and don't, with the exception of the QB hour during the season when they have Essiason and Brady on and they listen instead of talking.

If the show bothers you, just turn in off man, and THEN let WEEI know why you did. ;)

Rodney himself acknowledged in his comments on Moss that he was perceived as something of a malcontent as well as a dirty player not to mention a washed up player when he arrived here (rather than in Oakland where he almost signed because SD didn't want him anymore).

We love him Nut, and know that was all BS, but there is nothing wrong with recalling the media spin on his acquisition. His own point was they were dead wrong that he would be a problem here - he ended up being a lynchpin player on the road to a dynasty as did Cox - which is the same point this poster was attempting to make before he set off your binky alarm inadvertently...;)

I once read a poem that I think was titled "Dennis and Buttahan," that was pretty funny and very entertaining (if you can't infer the tone of the poem from the title, I pity you). It was written by a pretty well-known slam poet, I want to say Taylor Mali, but I don't think so.

That doesn't make a difference to PD Jason Wolfe. I did just that, I questioned something D&C said and told him I would not be listening any more. His reply was along the lines of "We don't need you. We are #1 in Boston. Go f-yourself." It is easy to see where these guys get it from when leadership says, "it's all about ratings, go ahead and say what you want. We'll give you a vacation if you screw up too badly."

First of all, the commentators are right. Moss has been a major problem, starting even before he turned pro. The notion that the news media in Boston shouldn't be pointing these things out is ludicrous, given the attention being focused on character by everyone, including the league itself, these days.

Second, these are just commentators. They are as full of crap as anyone else. If you don't agree with them, don't. If you don't want to listen, watch or read them, don't. But, for the love of all that's holy, quit being a bunch of hypocrites who bash the media for bashing the team or players. You're no better than they are. You're worse, in fact, since they are getting paid to voice their opinions and you're just bleating out Pot/Kettle type rejoinders in response.

Belioli aren't perfect. Mistakes have been made and will be made again. Moss has had problems at Florida State, Minnesota and Oakland. If the sports media in town wasn't harping on it, they wouldn't be doing their job. And Meriweather has had some questionable incidents as well so, again, it should be expected that the media will dig into him too. I like both moves, but that doesn't mean that I think all dissent should be silenced.
