Kenny Scott has some character issues if I recall correctly.

Rhema McKnight would be a steal. Don't know if there is any room for him though

As a UDFA, easy come, easy go. If he doesn't cut it, it's a low cost trial IMO.

Just looking @ the roster, you would think we would pick up two QBs just so Brady's arm doesn't fall off.

Yep...and I believe that Gutierrez, the poor man's Matt Cassel, is also still available.

i think DeAndre Jackson would be nice if healthy

You don't like Walter Thomas as a potential NT?

The Patriots should get some rookie QBs in UDFA. Much better chance for a UDFA to make it with the Pats than some other team, because we only have 2 entrenched guys on the roster at the position.

Not really, the kid may have raw talent, but tossing low level college players around in the Texas v. Nation game isn't a good test. His history just isn't encouraging in terms of development and character.

ILB Jon Abbate is still available too, small, but so is Lua. Abbate is a tackling machine, think Zach Thomas (probably not as good, though Zach was drafted in the 5th round).

I pretty much disparaged him in the predraft forums, as I didn't see him as a fit for the Pats D. As a UDFA, he could try for a Larry Izzo type role. His speed in the predraft bothered me, but as a ST specialist it's all about playing speed & guts rather than timed 40's.

I just did a quick & dirty search for Kenny Scott & charactor issues Box and didn't come up w/ anything. He was declared academically ineligible for their bowl game this year though...

Definitely rated as a second rounder before the injury. Healing and still ran I believe a 4.48. I would take a shot.
Get Hartwell and we have something even better in out back seven.

i'd love to see Darius Walker as a UDFA signing (I can't believe he didn't even get drafted), DeAndre Jackson was among my favorite CB's talent wise, so I would love to take a chance on him, and I'd also like to see them pickup a few other players.

Here's what I read that kept him off my board: "Just an adequate worker who needs to be monitored...Struggles some in the classroom and has a history of being late or missing team meetings...Needs to show better maturity off the field."

As a UDFA, I'd at least want the kid to be self-motivated to excel, I can't get excited about an undrafted kid who has a kickstart.
