Will Troy Brown be back now?

With Moss; what happens to Troy ?

I'm sorry to say, despite Troy Brown being one of my alltime favorites, I think he is gone. I'd be shocked if they resign him. I'd rather they have him over Caldwell though.

That's a tough one. I guess it's not too difficult to find him a roster spot though we'd have to cut some solid WRs. The very tough part would be deciding who would be the inactives. We're never going to have 6 active WRs out of 45 players so what do you do? You almost feel like the inactive player would have to be the one that's hurt the most.

Troy Brown will be back. Go back and read what BB said a few weeks back please.

BB does not lie to his players.

I think Troy will be back and he will make the team. He may not be as quick as he once was, however, his veteran presence, reliability and football smarts are extremely valuable. For example, see the heads-up play he made against the Chargers in the playoffs, where he forced a fumble after the interception.

My prediction: Troy will be back at CB & special teams.

We can always use a nickelback right?

Not to mention the hands at the last kick-off to ice the game...I think this is his last year, his number is retired and he moves to the front office.

...but if I were him, I'd go fishin':eat1:

I wouldn't expect him for training camp or the start of the season. Where I do expect him is sometime mid-season, when the injuries start building up at WR and DB. Then there will be room for him to contribute - when the games mean the most.

Resign him as a DB. We need him if Samuel is a goner.

He can be Moss' personal babysitter...I mean role model.:D

Harrison will be Moss's role model.

There is always room for Brown. Consider him one of the final three roster spots, which can be at any position. And yes, I thought he might have retired last year. But Brown is always worth more than keeping this year's Spann or Mays. He knows he will need to play ST's.

Troy Brown will always be my favorite receiver from Marshall no matter what Moss does (I don't mind if Moss tries hard enough to erase that ;))

What did he say?

Also, I hope they do find room for him.

With regards to this deal and how it affects the now bottom tier of receivers on this team, there are more questions than answers.

How serious is Troy about coming back and how serious are the Pats about having his services?

What is Troy's health status?

Could Chad Jackson be destined for the IR?

Which Jabar Gaffney will show up this season, the guy who was a borderline bust prior to coming here or the guy who became very productive towards season end last year?

Ditto on Caldwell. SD gave up on him but he was very productive for the Pats and is an ideal possession WR in my mind (i.e. catching the short passes on a team that now has Stallworth and Moss to stretch the field). All of that despite the big drop against Indy in the AFCC game.

I really don't see where Kelly Washington fits in with this team now but I guess we will have to wait and see what TC brings.

Competition is a good thing. I have no complaints but I would hate to see Troy go out this way especially if he can come back in good health. Would love to see him as a 5th or 6th WR, and playing a little dime back as needed.
