We do need depth, and I know we could pick some day 2 LB's .. But could we bring in some vet such as Junior Seau and/or Ed Hartwell..

Would be nice to bring Seau back. It looked like he started to grasp the schemes in the weeks leading up to that Bears game. :(

Hartwell's first choice is Cincinnatti.

I'm surprised we didn't draft an LB of the future yesterday too - but nearly every choice would have been just that - an LB of the future.

I've been saying for awhile that we need more LB depth now to compliment AD so his versatility can be fully used. That requires a veteran presence, and whether its Seau or a trade for a veteran LB I've got no doubt BB has something in mind.

Excluding Willis the Pats could have had any other LB prospect in the draft so I do not believe they went into this draft with any strong feelings about any of them. I am hoping that it also means they went into this draft with veterans in mind

There's still lots of LB options, let's see what Day Two brings.

I'd say it's likely, for the obvious reasons.

In particular, I think Seau has a job here if he wants it.

And he should heal up sufficiently, if he chooses to stay in shape with the rest of his body while he heals.

look at what the colts did.... they drafted anthony gonzalez- this time we have plenty of cb's and drafted one to cover all of their wr's.

We definitely need LBs. A look at the depth chart yesterday showed me that the lB corp is the weakest on the team in terms of backups. If Bruschi or Vrabel go down, we're screwed.

weren't we saying this last year and every year going back 3-4 years. They'll be fine.

I'm not so sure Seau would be completly healed for the 07 season.
Man I saw that injury on TV, half his forearm was flagging in the wind.

How are we going to be fine? I don't get it. We've been healthy at that position. We're going to be fine if our starters go down and Izzo is starting there instead?
