Pats offer mid round pick for Randy Moss....

John Clayton on ESPN Radio said we offered a 6th and he expects Green Bay to offer a 5th later today or tomorrow.

I and I'm sure many others around here probably hope this doesn't happen - but we'll not second guess BB if it does

I'd expect Moss's salary would have to be restructured in such a way so that if he goes turdish and BB decides to bench him we don't have to pay a lot for that muffler

But the upside - if Moss decides he no longer wants to take plays off and wants to work for a SB ring, would be tremendous - and well worth a 5th round pick

That's the point...Moss does not want to go to GB, has said he will only restructure foe the team he wants to play for - that'd be US!!!

If Randy Moss signs a cap freindly deal AND plays football, this will be a steal for a 5 or a 6 (even a 4 IMHO).

Randy Moss people, the guy can flat out play the position, when he wants.

Wow, make it happen Bill.

Only if he restructure his contract.....Do we have the guys to keephimin line or this is going to be another Gabriel issue....

if we get moss he wont be a problem he will just have 95rec for 1653 and 12 tds and brady will be the mvp with 4673yerds and 36tds oh ya go pats

lol.....highly unlikely....but I'd be happy with 60+ 1000 and 8 tds. I don't think we'll get him though. Imagine our red zone offense if we do though, yikes. Stallworth, Watson, Moss, Thomas, Faulk & Washington, who do you cover ? We do have 2 numer 4's though right ? SF's # 4 for Moss. Then the trade becomes This years #28 for Randy Moss and SF's #1 next year, holy moly !!

One possible reason the Pats traded out of Rd 1 was to clear salary space for Moss.

Man, I wish this would get done. Not only would we have a nasty receiving core but Tom might get such a woody on the field he wouldn't be impregnating women of the field!!! :D

lol thats funny

I think the Pats are going to use the 9ers fouth round pick and package it up in the Moss deal. I feel like it's going to happen. This is the second time Moss has stated he only wants to play for the Pats.

Perhaps we will offer the 2008 third we just received from Oakland.

Cousins, I have read that Moss has been training and in the best shape of his career. I am sure someone has the thread. They say he's running 4.3's!!!
Think about this. Is there any 5th rounder in this drfat that is worth more than a shot on Moss?
Another thing to consider. Gabriel is a good friend of Moss, would have told Randy everything there is to know about BB and the Pats as a team even if he was cut. It couldn't have been too bad!

Next year, every team still has to account for Moss. It was said today that the Jets and the Colts(I believe) were drafting with the thought to catch the Pats and if the Pats have Stallworth, Moss, Welker et, al, they had to draft to play the Pats.
Wow, what a statement!

Give the Raiders OUR fourth round pick and get Moss to redo his contract. That would be an amazing deal.

Randy Moss on the Pats scares me. Will he complain if he doesn't get enough touches? Will he be willing to restructure his ridiculous salary? I think Al Davis is too prideful to trade Moss for a 2nd day pick, so I don't see this deal happening. It's a nice fantasy but one I doubt is coming true.

Get ready for the punter on Day 2, huzzah! :p

Don't be scared. Do really think he would that stupid to complain that Tom Brady isn't giving him enough touches when they are winning? Moss would look like a fool and would be a laughing stock in the NFL, infact worse than Owens. Plus, Moss didn't complain at all when he was winning with the Vikings. The Pats lockerroom is plain business and if any dumbass that walks in there and tries to be a cancer, he will be put in check fast!
