Re: WOW, we had 2 #1's, and yet the Jets have had a ten times better draft than us...

Have you already forgotten about the Pats' free-agent signings? And next year when we have a pick in the high 20's and another in the low-teens to single digits in a much richer draft?

Calm down.

Sorry but I won't be satisfied with less than pick 32. :)

The student beats the teacher once again. Revis AND Harris ?? Sheesh, what good is it having 2 #1's if all you do is trade them every year for the future. The future is now !!! Terrible draft, the Pats let all the good ones get away. Buffalo (Lynch & Poz) & the Jets, one #1 each, and both still way better draft than ours. Very disappointing. You guys can spin this anyway you want, but we are getting schooled by everyone. Harris will be a monster for the Jets and make us rue the day we didn't draft him. Very Very bad.

Scott99, can you tell me how many picks the Jets have left this year?

Can you tell me how many the Pats have?

The Jets traded all the rest of their picks with the exception of a 7th Rounder. I liked Harris, but not that much.

UHHH Scott the Jets have a 6th and a 7th left...they traded everything else away.

Give the Jets the Lombardi right now. Don't even bother playing the games. Why do I even root for this team, they never make sense. OH MY GOD THE SKY IS FALLING!

Don't worry man, it'll be ok. We still have to play them in two games.

If these players are so great don't you think we would have picked them? Get a clue, you sound like a dork.

I think the Jets are stupid. They have 2 picks left in the 6th and 7th round. Way to go Mangina.

Scott think about what you wrote even in the first round 1/3 of the players are of NFL by year 3 , of the remaining 1/3 become backups and only 1/3 are starter.

After the first this ratio crashes down to nothing and yet you make a bold prediction in a way that has me dumbfolded.

I'm not sure how good their draft is. They gave up their entire draft for two players. I hope they work out for them. We still have 9 picks left and one of them is in the 3rd round. Don't tell me that you can't find good players on day two of the draft. We Patriot fans of all people should know better.
Tom Brady says hello.

Wow, great, we have a bunch of #6 picks that won't even make the team.

It's quality, not quantity. The pats will have only two Day 1 picks. And they'll have two in the 4th. Everything outside of that is pretty much a crap shoot.

Meanwhile, the Jets have taken two good players who will help them challenge for the division this year.

Draft picks only have value when you use them.

I guess its just frustrating as a fan bc we have all seen what happens when the Pats actually use their two first round picks -- they end up with two good players.

heh, how'd the student do vs the master the last time they met in a game?

spin what? we filled a need at S, Merriweather will be a beast in the form of Rodney Harrison for years to come. And apparently they didn't think Harris was worth it. My guess is you were one of those complaining when they selected Seymour instead of the WR that everyone wanted too. Remind me again how that worked out.

Honestly, what a spaz. Relax. Go draft Emmit Smith in your fantasy league.

Not even! They just traded their 6th away.

The Patriots have NINE picks left. NINE!

I do have to say that looking at what is left and will be available during our glut of picks in r 4-6 I really am concerned that there are no impact players and possible it will be tough to find a kid who can make the team.

Actually, NFL network says that they only have a 7th round pick left.

One of which they reached for with half of their picks as the cost, and one of which the Pats decided to pass on.

Main Entry: im·pa·tience
Pronunciation: (")im-'pA-sh&n(t)s
Function: noun
: the quality or state of being impatient

Past success doesn't guarantee future results. This draft is completely different from last year's draft, and it will be completely different from next year's. Just because the Pats had 2 firsts in 2004 and they worked out doesn't mean the same will happen this year.

I have complete trust in Beioli when they say they feel the best value were in the trades. How many times do we have to go through this? How many Lombardi's do they have to hoist?

Re: WOW, we had 2 #1's, and yet the Jets have had a ten times better draft than us...

scott and Marcus come from the Mike Ditka school of drafting.

When you say student beats teacher again, you make it sound like it happens alot. Harris is a 2 down LB who was considered a 6th round talent before the combine etc., Revis is decent but not considerd a champ bailey type. Merriweather could be a stud playmaking saFETY , AND HAVE A TOP 15 PICK NEXT YEAR.
