Are the Pats the team that offered a #1 for Michael Turner? Would make some sense that would give us 2 quality backs as Maronery has had problems staying healthy. I know we need Defense but is there 1st rd quality there at 28.

Um what, we did or you hope we do? What are you saying, is this title a bit misleading on draft day... I think so.

which Thomas?

He meant Michael Turner.

I love Turner, but that would be a shock. He wants a big contract with a reported $17M in guarantees. The rumored trade is for a first next year, and the Pats don't usually trade future picks. They are more likely to stockpile them.

Yea I screwed up I did mean Turner & I have edited first post . Thanks for the update.

That's a massive overpay for Turner. He's a nice back, but to give up a first for a guy who is a back up, albeit a good one, is very, very risky. Think of it this way, would you trade Joseph Adai or Maroney for Turner? No, well, they each were drafted near where the Pats picks are. Plus, you've got to pay Turner too.
