He is never right with our picks . Whomever he is picking for us I know we won't take. Anyone know his picks for us?
thanks

Posluzny and Griffin, about 8 days ago was his last update.

There'll be an update later this week I'm sure. He did have us picking Maroney in his last mock last year I believe, so that makes him 1 for his last 20 or so.:D

I don't know why people enjoy ripping on Kiper so much. He's as good as any, mocks aren't easy especially out of the top 5 or so.

I think it is mostly his manner, and of course his hair. His info is as good as most. His record w/ Patriots picks is pretty dismal though...

Well Mel's voice puts me in my draft happy place. Just like some people associate Christmas music with childhood memories, Mel's voice makes me smile because it reminds me of the draft :D

I think Kiper is the best around when it comes to the draft. He studies college film all year long, knows the needs of every NFL team and what player would fit in with each team. I don't think too many people can predict every team draft picks every year.

Kiper is not a good mock drafter. His main strength is analyzing the players.

I like Kiper. It has nothing to do with whether he's right or wrong about this or that. He worked his way up from nothing based on his passion for the draft and he created an industry.

I think we're all jealous of the man. I know I am.

I do find the segments he does on the field catching balls as if he's personally taking part in the combine a bit much though lol

I agree
Actually; I like his input on players but he is not good picking the mocks for us.

I just watched him on TV the other night, and he still seemed to be pushing Griffin.

I doubt what you just said about his '06 mock is true. When I talked to him last year he thought DeAngelo Williams, White, and Addai made more sense for NE, and when NE picked Maroney he acted shocked and said something like he didn't expect this pick (Live on ESPN). He then mentioned Addai and some other players. I have it recorded.

You could be right (then he'd be 0 for 20 or so). I am in draft mock hell right now and can no longer who is predicting what this year, last year... Someone on the main board said that he picked Maroney last year and I went w/ that info. My bad.

I like Kiper and enjoy listening to his analysis..but I dislike Kiper wannabe's like Todd McShay

Never thought about this, but you are right.. it does put me in the same place.. not a huge fan, but he evokes certain emotions.

Do you think he was correct re: Maroney v. Williams, White, Addai, esp. considering how the season ended, with not a (SB41)bang but a (3rd/4)whimper?

I would prefer that Kiper and his brethren be more accurate in analyzing potential pros, than in predicting pretend drafts, anyway.

Besides, anyone who could piss-off Bill naPolian, like Mel did, is A-OK in my book.

:agree:

Thanks for expressing your true thoughts. :eat3:
