.......Mike an Mike.

This scenario may have been brought up before but I Like it because the ramifications would affect the entire draft, including some some players falling unexpectedly into our range.

That scenario of course being Trent Green going to Miami. Miami then releases Culpepper who in turn get's picked up by the Raiders. The Raiders then pass on Jamarcus Russell and take Calvin Johnson instead.

It creates a mad scramble amongst teams like the Lions, Browns, Skins ands other teams looking for a QB.

Thoughts?

Culpepper can't even practice right now. There is no way that anyone is going to look at him as a #1 in 2007.

I heard about that as well. As I mentioned in another thread it's clear Oakland is looking for any excuse NOT to select Russell. Reportedly Al Davis has told his staff if they can't come up with a QB via FA/trade by Saturday morning they're gonna go ahead & draft the LSU signal caller.

It's a rumor that's been floating around this past week. I saw it in espn.com, either in the rumors, or Pasquerrelli's column. It does make sense in an Al Davis sort of way... That said- rumors will be abundant this week.
