Pick #10 has gone bye and Patrick Willis is still on the board.

Then this announcement is made. "We have a trade. The NE Patriots have traded to the SF 49ers Picks #24,28, and 91 for picks #'s 11, 76,& 110.

"With the 11th selection in the 2007 NFL Draft, the NE patriots take Patrick Willis, ILB Ole Miss!"

this would make me a bit angry. i think that is too much to give up for Willis. We could have a potential starter in harris at 91 and two other players instead of willis. too much value at those spots to trade for one guy.

yeah i would approve Washington 6 + Springs for 28 + samuel

Surprised.

NEWS FLASH: David Harris will be gone before #40, maybe before that as his "value' increases when Willis is gone.

Meh. Instead of three good players, you get two. And, as some people (e.g., Box) have pointed out, Willis may not necessarily be the best fit for the Pats D.

Box, Box, Box- well excuse me- Patrick Willis is the best ILB for the Patriots. But, if he's gone then it's Harris. We don't have time to groom a convert like Bradley, although I would take him in the second, if we had a second, after we took willis or harris.

I'd rather have the best LB available and Griffin in the first round than Willis.

PatsNutMe - You know how high I was on Willis and still think he will make an instant impact on any team from day 1. But giving up two first rounders for just one player is too risky. So pretty much Willis is off my board just because I think he will be taken in the early teen's. I would rather wait things out and grab too players that can help on defense immediately. Also, check out ESPN's nation mock draft - where the fans vote for what player each team should take, you would be surprised where Patrick Willis ends up. I know it doesn't mean squat but there is always a chance certain players that you thought would be picked early, end up dropping late into the draft. ex. Vince Wilfork, Matt Leinart, Aaron Rodgers etc. I strongly feel that the Pats will take two DB's in the first round if Willis isn't available. However, if Willis is still around say 17-18, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pats make the move and draft the tackling machine that the Pats need.

Having Willis would make me happy. That cost to get him would make me angry.

My ears are burning, must be my imagination.

His value won't increase with Willis gone. His value is already predicated on Willis being gone long before he is picked.

 Well by this time next week we will all know.

I really don't expect such a trade but I would be happy if it did happen. My mind set is that we are picking players - not "value". And I think if that trade did come about, there would be enough good players at S, OLB, and OT to make those other picks pan out well.

Yeah me too. I like Poz over Willis anyway. Willis is more of a Tampa 2 LB and he also looked a bit stiff at the Senior Bowl.

I love Willis, I really d, anbd he would likely be the best possible LB we could get, but that price is a bit too steep for me. I would be happy in one sense, but sad. I would certainly wonder for a full year at what might of been.

I just do not know if the drop off between taking Beason or Harris is enough to justify the price.

How old is Springs? Isn't he over 30?Is Carlos Rogers better to coach up?
DW Toys

to much to give up what a draft that has a lot of good lbs plus the potential hold out what a pick that high

I'd wonder why SP/BB are listen to the pats fan with a man crush on Willis
