Tom Brady - Stetson Man

If being a metro gets you this kind of coin and the girl he dates I am all for it :)

Yeah like some schmuck is really gonna beleive that a multi million dollar guy like Brady loves to wear cheap a$s Stetson cologne which goes for about $10 bucks for 3 ounces - Spare me please!!

If Tom ain't wearing $100 3oz Cologne then he aint wearin' nothin at all.

Thats what I don't understand of why Tom is doing this crap now?,Wait for his career to be over and become a model and/or actor which to me is a near certainty,He certainly does not need the money now.

Sure does need the money now!
You know, got to feed his family which will shortly be a " tad larger " as it were.

I don't get people who say that. $12.5 mil is $12.5 mil. Bill Gates is worth a helluva lot more than that, and he's not just selling his stock and going home. I don't care how rich I was, I would take $12.5 mil if offered.

When did an athlete not have a right to do endorsements? The pales in comparison to the amount of TV ads Manning is in. Why wait? Strike while the iron is hot. When he retires he might be bald and fat, who knows!

As long as he's focused 150% in camp, on his conditioning and on the field, I don't care if he does ads for eau de swampwater. btw, didn't joe namath used to do ads for Brut? i guess this smell is more upscale or something...

No, but he is giving away billions of dollars - he is the world's biggest philanthropist. I'm not saying that Brady is anywhere near that rich, or that Brady is not generous (I don't know either way) - but what I am saying is there does come a point where enough money is enough.

I kid you not. This is what TB is now peddling. Our own untamed urban cowboy...

Stetson Untamed

"Though the dust on his heels comes from the streets of the city, the heart of the urban cowboy beats with the spirit of the Wild West. With his rugged good looks, it is no surprise that his ability to charm women is legendary. Although many a good woman has tried to claim his heart, he remains...untamed.

"Experience the rugged romance of the American West. A sexy, masculine blend of deep woods, rich suede, and invigorating bergamot exude the spirit of the untamed urban cowboy. "

What do you suppose they use for the "deep woods" scent - deet (mosquito repellant)?

You are worth what someone is willing to pay you.

Getting this $12 million now may mean that he is around for his family more after his playing days are over, not having to do as many endorsements or acting, whatever. Perhaps he is looking at it that way.

it means he can afford to father more bastard children of supermodels

forget the Michael Vick Experience--I want to take a spin on The Tom Brady Experience

I'm having deja vu from 1984. Wasn't it a Stetson commercial that featured Joe Montana and his future wife Jennifer? Will the modern-day Montana find true love the same way?

Regards,
Chris

P.S. I did not read the article, so I have no idea if such a reference to Montana is made.

P.P.S. Of course the article made no mention of Montana...his commercial was for Schick razors, but I swore they wore cowboy hats in the commercial. Or maybe I'm just senile. :bagoverhead:

Humus, leather, and Earl Grey tea? Umm...thanks, urban cowboy, but I'll pass.

Did Joe Montana first see his now wife in a magazine, point her out to his agent, and have him arrange a meeting with her? I swear that is how they met, it was legendary!

Where did the 12.5 million come from? How did you get that is what Brady will make?

As if either one of us would know....
Actually, one of us would. I am nowhere near as rich as nearly ANY NFL player, but I have certainly passed up opportunities to make more money in my lifetime. Money isn't everything.
