I am a Pats fan living in Tampa now (moved down in 2003). So I have tried getting into the local sports scene, I got some Devil Rays season tickets and am still waiting on Bucs season tickets.

I still love Boston teams but I have to enjoy what is nearby also. Anyways I check out the Bucs message board sometimes. I saw a thread tonight titled "If you could have ANY player from any other team". I know what popped into my head instantly, Tom Brady. I figured when I opened the thread though I would see a bunch of people fawning over Ladainian Tomlinson or Peyton Manning. There were a few people who mentioned them but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the thread to see the following.....

Brady
Brady
Brady
Brady
Brady

One guy summed it up best:
"I think Tom Brady. Someone said it earlier: he makes the guys around him better. I wonder what Manning would be like with the Div II scrubs that Brady makes to look like All-Pros."

Its nice to see people from another city with totally different loyalties recognize the same thing we do. I guess smart football fans are everywhere even if the media are a bunch of ball washers.

By the way, I did get tickets to the Pats-Bucs preseason game, so at least I can see the guys once this year.
