Season Tix Wait List Question

Can anyone provide any insight into the advantages of ponying up $100/seat to get on the waiting list? I realize that it will probably take over 20 years to get seats by this point but I am more interested in what kind of access to tix you get as part of the ticket exchange on the Pats website... Anyone have any experience? I am considering but only if it would allow better access to tickets at a better price than what I've had to go thru in the past with ebay and various ticket brokers...

I've been on the waiting list since 2000. In that time I've been able to purchase tickets several playoff games at face value through the program for waiting list members. Recently they've also added the re-sale program for regular season tix - for me its been hit & miss.

TicketExchange had oodles and oodles of tickets in 2005 - good ones too, at face value.

However, there were barely any in 2006 for the big games. And if some miraculously popped up, they'd be gone literally before you could click them. I spent long Friday nights before the November Bears and Colts games furiously refreshing. ALL of the 100 level tickets that came up were taken by the time the "click" signal went from my brain to my finger.

I'd still give it a whirl for 2007, though. If you want good seats for the lesser games, you can get them easily. I remember there being 100 level, Row 1 seats for the Lions and Texans games last year.

Thanks for the info. Do the tickets usually not go up until the week before the game or are there some up a couple months in advance? Living across country I have to plan it ahead of time so if the majority of the tickets aren't on there until the week before it might be tough for me...

Whenever the STH's post them. Most do the week of the game, but there are usually plenty a few weeks before too.

Playoff Tickets were up for sale?? I couldn't put ours up for sale when I looked into it. There was a chance that both my Dad and I couldn't make the game so I checked it out. I had no idea that playoff tickets were part of this program??

We did end up making the game.

The team releases a certain number of mostly pigeon heaven tickets for sale to season ticket waiting list members. Regardless of the section, it was worth it to be at the game.

I was able to get tickets to every home game last year using the ticket exchange including some amazing seats (131/row 1, 104/row1, etc), however I was sitting every night with my laptop refreshing the screen every second until something came up and like others have said alot of times by the time you click they're gone. Needless to say my reflex time has gotten pretty good it can get frustrating at times when it gets to sat. night and still no tickets (i've gotten some as late as Sunday morning), but if you have the patience I would recommend it.

The fee used to be $50 per seat...

Then again I used to buy good seats the day of the game. Ah that 1-15 season was so much fun. The kicker was voted MVP!

All the seats in Gillette are not season tickets seats. Two or three thousand seats go on sale every June to the general public for all the games.

If the Pats make the playoffs, these two or three thousand seats get sold to wait list members.

IMHO, it's an absolute waste of money. Like the Red Sox, the Patriots will give you nothing by way of information about what position on the list you are or how long you can expect to wait.

To me this is a story some newspaper writer should do a column about. You just can't get any info from either of those 2 local teams (but they'll gladly take your $$).

Just sent in my form today. I'm in Jacksonville, FL, so I hope the opportunities to get tickets earlier than one day in advance are plentiful this year!

a few yrs ago i interviewed some ppl in the marketing department for a college paper (AMAZING EXPERIENCE)
and one of the ppl told me at that point that it was speeding up big time, I was pretty shocked, considering it was only a couple months after winning our third super bowl

i've actually never bought tix from the season ticket holders in that exchange thing
i have purchased playoff tix
two to the coldest game ever!!! vs the titans-me and my friend gerry were in the dead last row of the whole stadium
and one vs indy the following yr, when we won 20-3

i actually pay $50 every yr for red sox replay (just went last friday night with it) so yeah I guess I'll say its worth it since its a one time fee
I thought when I signed up it was only 20 or 40 bux, cant really remember though
how long has everyone been on the list for?
ive been on since 02, just after the sb win
i was so pissed at myself, me and my friend were gonna put our names in in like 2000 and we totally forgot
literally like two days after we won i was like "oh sh*t, that list is gonna be long as hell now"

Depends on how much $100 is worth to you. It was worth it for me before I became a STH. 10 years ago when I was broke it would not have been worth it.
