I don't know about ya'll, but with the way Beckett is pitching as of right now I think he could be the new Schilling for us. Plus if Schilling leaves, and he is still pitching like he is right now then how couldn't he be.

He was 3-0 with a 1.29ERA and 1.05WHIP in his first 3 starts last season. I'd give it at least another month before I make any decision about him turning the corner or not.

Bingo...way too early. I am def happy about his start and how he looks, but not ready to throw a parade yet:cool:

Potential 3-ace rotation... I am basically here for the foobaw, but I am starting to get psyched.

Wakefield is also pitching great so far this season to lets hope it continues.

the sox have the potential to be a very special team.

He just looks a lot better than he did last year. He has a better mix of pitches, and everything he's throwing is nasty.

I'm not handing him the Cy yet, but it's very encouraging.

The encouraging sign for beckett is that he's throwing less fastballs and relying more on other pitches. All i remember last year is that he just wanted to throw heat (like trying to show off) but any half decent MLB hitter can tee off if he is waiting for it. It's nice to see the different approach this year....plus i heard they moved him over to the middle of the rubber which has helped:cool:

Way too early to say. He might end up completely horrible, so lets not get our hopes up too early.
