Ok. This is for the UDFAs or Late Rounders you'd like to see the Pats take a chance on.

I'd like to see the Pats look at the following:
Jay Staggs - SS - Kid was a leader on his team (UNLV) and has themeasurables.
40: 4.5
20: 2.61
10: 1.54
Reps: 28
Vertical: 38.5
Broad: 10'2"
20 yard Shuttle: 3.98
3 cone: 6.94

Jeff Rowe - QB -
Matt King - OLB
Reggie Merriweather - RB - Bowling ball like Maurice Jones Drew?
Maurice Price - WR - Longshot to be a Stallworth Clone?
Jermon Bushrod - OT - Athletic 4 year starter at OT. Would be a good canditate for the Scarnecchia School of O-linemen.
Walter Thomas - NT - If the Pats feel that his being dismissed from OSU isn't an issue, then neither will I. At 370 lbs, running a 5.1 is pretty damn good. If he can lose 20 lbs and run close to 4.8, he could be dominating.
Matt Muncy - ILB - got some measurables and intangibles. Could push for Mays spot.
Mike Klobucher - ILB - Ferris State - Don't know much about him other than he's got the size and weight that we look for in a SILB. Exceptional Student. Was an All-American Candidate.
Will Herring - SS - A BOR special.
Joe Porter - CB - Rutgers -
Supposedly ran a 4.28 at his work-out. Official is 4.31. Has a good 3 cone (6.62), but only a mediocre 20 yard shuttle (4.23).

Marquice Cole - CB/KR/PR - Put on a show at his pro-day. Ran his 40 in 4.35. His 3 cone was a 6.82. His 20 yard shuttle was a blazing 3.86. He he 5'9 and 191 lbs.

Andrew Shanle - FS - Star Special teamer. Has the measurables to become a starter at the position. Great Character and Excellent Student.

Excellent change of focus!
You just KNOW that
1 or 2 of the youngsters we acquire there
will manage to cling to the roster
... and for more than just a single year.

This is a good thread.

How about

Nate Iloa RB Hawaii. 5'9" 245 built like a bowling ball averaged like 9 yards per carry. Not much speed but hard to tackle and probably doesn't have a problem "running too high". Has had some injuries.

Ryan Moore, WR, Miami - 6'2, 217 - 4.54 - character all other concerns, was highly recruited out of HS
D.D. Terry, RB, Sam Houston State - 6'1, 196 - 4.46 - RB/WR/KR - appears to be an athelete without a position, if he likes football maybe he can be groomed to be a ST player and potential backup

Madison Miller, DE, Indiana State - 6'4" 248lbs
4.52 and 4.57 40, 6.99 3 cone, 10ft broad jump, 35" vertical, 4.32 short shuttle, projects as a OLB or even Safety (assuming he drops weight). Very fluid hips in coverage, an array of pass rush moves, hard worker who has worked on defensive back drills/footwork drills to keep sharp (came in as a defensive back). Have heard anywhere from 5-7th round

Jon Pope, Safety, Oregon - 6'1" 225lbs, 4.55 and 4.60 40, 38" vertical, 34 reps at 225, 10'6" broad jump, 4.25 short shuttle. Pound for pound strongest man in history of Oregon Athletics. Walk-on who worked hard and received scholarship as a senior. Excellent special teams player, could be a great special teams player at the next level, and could project as a linebacker in a cover2 style D if he gained some weight. 7th round-UFA

Andrew Olemgbe, LG, Texas Southern, 6'3" 305lbs, Good quickness, athleticism, reads and reacts very quickly, good playing strength, gets off the ball extremely fast.

Marcel Burrough, LG, San Jose State, 6'6" 325lbs, great frame to add weight, has great power to drive and gain movement, very durable. Could be 6th-7th rounder

Any relation to Randall Gay?

I don't know. Randall is from Louisiana, William is from Tallahassee, FL, so it doesn't appear they're "close" relations.

Josh Swogger. Classy guy.

We will sign ND alumni who didn't get drafted. A hurricane will hit some part of North America during late summer/early fall. Both statements are Givens. :D
