I wouldn't do handsprings, but I could live with it.

They've had NE picking Pos & Leonard for awhile now. I think the've gone back and fourth with their third round pick. I can't remember if they had Piscitelli or someone else in the third round last time.

1a. overrated
1b. reach
3. ok

The last one was brian robison i think, could be wrong though

If we take Leonard, so be it, he'd help the team but it would be like the Welker trade to me . . . safe and OK but very limited upside. To play it safe with a late #2 was one thing, to do it again with a late #1 is going to far for me.

To me that's not even playing it safe, that's reaching for someone who doesn't even have first round talent. If they are going to play it safe at 28 take Harrell or Staley or Blalock. Honestly, if they want a RB there's better options.

If we take Leonard in the first I think I will cry. This whole "Patriots type player" thing is so overrated. They value talent as much as anybody, and they are not going to pick someone (especially at such a reach) because he's a nice guy.

nfldraftcountdown loves to make out-of-the-box selections all the way up until the last one. The last one is (the day before the draft) is usually spot on threw the first 10 picks. I wouldn't look too far into anyone he puts out before that.

The thing is, though, that SP and BB have their own Box, so their picks don't seem to make sense--at the time--to anyone but themselves. Of course, in retrospect, a lot of them become no-brainers, one way or the other (e.g., Logan Mankins, a no-brainer pick, and Bethel Johnson, a pick with no brains :)).

Am I being paged?

Nah. Just seeing if you were paying attention. :)

If I really needed your attention, I'd have sent the Box_O_Rocks signal:

How I pine for the good old days when the BOR-signal was a depiction of Goliath's severed head with the goofy expression!

The problem is that Patriots, as Scott Wright (owner of NFLDC) says, are very difficult to predict. So, instead of giving them some normal prospects (which happen to never be selected by the Pats), he tries to find the kind of player who could really interest them. So that explains the reaching of Leonard.

Depending on the extent of Maroney's injuries, we could very well need another RB.

Patriots picks can be predicted somewhat. I predicted Seymour and Warren before the draft and Wilfork before the pick. That's three. Watson and Maroney were off my radar screen. Graham was one of the 3-5 I thought we'd take with that pick. Mankins I picked for us befiore the draft but in the second round not the first.

HORRENDOUS picks, both of them. Ridiculous. I used to like that site. No cred whatsoever.
