I don't think #80 would be so pleased about that...

No good point, I'd overlooked that. Perhaps the walls of Carthage. Or, even, better, Phoenix.

Baa-Baa Belichick have you any soul?

No comment, No comment, it is what it is.
We'll draft who we draft, Thus improve our team
when it's time to extend their deals, its the last of them we've seen.

Okay that blows. Sorry.

Its been such a long offseason I was thinking about buying one of those Brady 'Fatheads' and talking to him on the wall all summer - Any psychiatrists here in Patsfans?

Blalock is an intriguing prospect. He started something like 48 games plus at Texas. Tons of big game experience. His run blocking is above average. He has the flat back explosion at the snap and he uses his hands fairly well.
He has decent feet, but isn't the best pass blocker or pulling guard available in this draft.
If BB is truly trying to upgrade the right side of the OL, then Blalock would certainly give Neal a big push for the starting job.

No, it's terrific!

This doesn't rhyme at all. It doesn't scan at all. Is it new-fangled "modern poetry"?

Ode On An April Draft

Belioli, in need of some DBs,
Stated "we can get by with more freebies."
So they drafted a throng,
With no corner, free-, strong-,
Leaving fans with acute heebie-jeebies.

A poetry thread without Mosi Tatupu? A new thread should exist on the very topic. Hmm. Since I opened the can, I have to drink...

Insects fly into spider webs
the legless live
in tides that ebb

Oh, please tell us, what would you do?
in this near draft

Okay, enough with the draft. It's time to document the Combine:

Seventy six DBs marched to the Combine
While a hundred and ten LBs filled the seam
They were followed by lines and lines of quarterbacks devine
the best of every famous team.

Seventy six DBs per-formed awesome deeds
With a hundred and ten LBs right behind
Wannabe-be Ed Reeds were springing up like weeds,
Safe-ties were there in every shape and kind

Middle 'backers yelled out loud their trashy boast
"I'll stuff the run, I'll stuff the run, don't try it up the gut. "
Then Speedy thin receivers shot straight for the post
And slower ones came running from the slot

There were fifty thousand scouts up in the nosebleed seats
Taking notes, taking notes, recording every sight
Fine on turf, how will they do, when wearing football cleats?
It's their job to YEA or NEA, get ev'ry eval right

Seventy six DBs all knew what was what
They like to dish out lots of hurt and pain
To the rhythm of 'HUT HUT HUT!' the Oline yelled "Huh? What?"
They earn their dough, with brawn not with their brain

Roses are Red Violets are Blue
Draft draft some DBs or I will Hurl on you.

Now I understand what Eliot meant when he said "April is the cruellest month..."

Fine.

BB Late Round Pick Haiku

Prospects drift downward
like snowflakes reflected in
A silver football

Ooh, that's nice. The subtle Lombardi imagery, with echoes of sixth-round draft picks playing in snow bowls... A-

heres my poem

once upon a draft eve
the hooded one lay asleep
when suddenly he had a vision
of mavfan twenty-three, ninety

pick Chris houston you must
said the mavfan
for i am filled with lust

his coverage skills are phenomenal you see
and his measureables excite me
you will regret the day you pass him up
especially if you choose Paul Poluzny :p

haha so the end doesn't rhyme but oh welll
