Gil Santos announces four sports at once

LMAO that is hilarious. I love Gil.

Hockey's still considered a sport?

I thought it got downgraded around the same time Pluto lost it's planet status.

Gil Santos is the best.i wish there wasn't that annoying delay or i would always listen to the wbcn broadcast.

that is wicked funny I bet brady matsuzaka would make one hell of A QB or Starting Pitcher. mmmm maybe if you reverse it Tom can have a name for his kid Matsuzaka Brady.

that is some good stuff, i couldn't help but muster a chuckle while listening to it

OMG!!!!!!

I didn't like Gil too much when he first started, (I go back a ways), but he's gotten better all along. Total professional.

That is some of the funniest stuff I've ever heard.

Any background on how they made that?

The fleet footed Rasheen O'Daugherty.   :woohoo:

Could not agree more, except when CBS or Fox sends their A or B team, the on screen broadcasts can be painful.. for years when I worked on Sundays and the Pats used to be blacked out a lot.. Gil made me feel as though I was there, he has gotten better with age.

Great stuff. I've loved listening to Gil since the early 70s. BTW, maybe we should draft this guy Willy Mo Bruschi.

Man, Gil can talk fast. I feel very fortunate to have Gil and Gino as our announcing team. I think they are great. They both are very knowledgable and are genuine fans of the team. I don't dread going on road trips during games because I know I get to listen to them.

That was epic.

If you have Comcast digital recorder, you can pause and fast-forward live broadcast. You can use the radio live, and fiddle with the TV braodcast (pause, fastforward) until the two are in synch. Works great.

I subscribed to NFL Field Pass. $30 a year lets you listen to home radio broadcasts of every team. You can listen live or listen to any previous game any time during the season.

I get the Santos/Cappilletti broadcast via my computer. The beauty of that is that the NFL blanks out commercials, so when the radio goes to commercial, you get only silence. Plus, the radio has fewer commercials. You know sometimes when they cut to a play that's just started after a TV timeout? Well, Gil and Gino are back on line, setting up the play while the TV is still showing a Peyton Manning Gatorade commercial.

IIRC correctly (never a sure thing) he was the voice of New Bedford High School football in the 60's.

And I loved him and Cousy doing the Celtics.

I've never understood why people like Gil. I think he's a rubbermouth who makes more serious broadcast mistakes per football game than anyone else I've ever heard. Still, my dark cloud doesn't do any good so I'll be quiet now!

It's an old timer thingy Shak, but you're correct.
