Who will we definitely NOT pick (out of only guys projected to go in the 1st round)? For me it would be Dwayne Jarrett. In the BB/Pioli era we have never drafted a "possession WR" to use the polite term. They have to time well at the combine (Branch, Johnson, Jackson). Jarrett arrogantly skipped the entire event. There have been questions over Jarrett's work ethic. According to the workout thread, Jarrett hasn't interviewed or worked out for us. I would literally fall out of my seat in a state of shock if we choose him. I'm not saying Jarrett can't find an environment where he could flourish, it's just that IMO, it's not going to be here.

Anybody else?

Some hats can be quite tasty.....

No Seriously - I say Greg Olsen -(Enough early round Tight Ends for the decade) or Dwayne Bowe (Would be surprised if he was picked-don't care for him much)

Not sure about Olsen and Ginn Jr. BB lovesss TE's. Olsen doesn't quite have the toxic personality of his Hurricane TE predecessors. As for Ginn Jr., although some question his route running, the speed and intangibles are there. I see us more likley to grab Olsen out of the two because both positions aren't weak areas on the team and he'd choose a TE over a WR.

...any WR, any TE, any DL, and Meriweather.

Yeah, but what do you do with him? We got Watson, Brady, Thomas, and possibly even Mills fighting for a spot somewhere. Watson is obviously the man. Brady just got signed to replace Graham's blocking and is a nice 280 pounds or so. Thomas showed some flashes last year and is only getting better. No way I see a TE.

I guess it depends on if BB believes that Thomas is the TE of the future. Believe me, I don't want a TE either. But with BB's quest to find the next Mark Bavaro you never know.

I guess. You never know. I would hate to see that though. Plus, I liked Thomas, he didn't disappoint me at all. IMO, he's a great 3rd TE.

Brian Leonard. He's a nice player, just not in the first round.

Calvin Murphy.

You think I'm eating my hat (it's disgusting...Red Sox cap that's been to Yankee Stadium 3 times and never washed) for anything less than a miracle?

Olsen - with BBQ sauce and tears
Meachem - with blue cheese, hot sauce and grumbling
Leonard - on rye bread with some WTF!'s
Kalil - plain with a large dose of head into desk.

and lastly

Quinn - I would go with the double decker hat sandwich on that one

And here I thought you were taking the safe bet. As for myself, in for a penny so they say: Patrick Willis.

LOL! Seriously, if Patrick Willis falls to 24 I'll be jumping for joy!
