O.K. We know we are going to see a pick on the first round high or low where we are going to say "NEVER EXPECTED HIM TO BE PICKED THERE"

A guy where you thought he was not even going to make the first round top tier let alone be picked high up like a Donte Whitner pick by the Bills which was my shocker of the 1st round last year although he ended up with better than a decent year.

Whose it gonna Be this year?

I am going to go with Marcus Thomas DL Florida - This guy is uinderated and the best 2nd round draft Defensive guy,If he goes late or even lower 20s in the first I would be surprised but its possible.

I'm going to say Ted Ginn, Jr. Some team is going to take him a lot higher based on his return skills.

To be fair, while the whole Drafting community was up in arms about Whitner's draft spot as a reach, he was one of the most productive Rookies in this year's draft class, so I don't know if I would be upset about getting this years 1st round Donte Whitner. Afterall, no team gets greater confusion on draft day then the Patriots and they seem to do just fine. I would say go back a few drafts and ask who is gonna be this years Kyle Boller instead.

Yeah Donte Whitner really played well for the Bills so he really isnt a reach anymores.

Somebody will probably take Michael Griffin in the top 15-17 picks

I agree with that assesment.

I think he has certain talents that project him ahead of Nelson and Merriweather; size, production (including an eneoirmous number of tackles), hard hitting, and ST talents including kck blocking.

I think that one of the mid teens teams that needs a LT real bad, will take a flier on Staley.
I think Staley's athletic skills have google eyed some teams.

Good one -- I wouldn't be surprised to see him taken above Levi Brown.

Could be Joe Staley. Since there a few solid OT in the draft and there is a great demand, it could only make those OTs drafted higher than they should.

Levy Brown is not a top 10 pick but I would not be shocked to see him picked in the top 10.

Staley could go in the low teens.

Justin Harrell. After Branch and Okoye, he is the last DT before a large dropoff well into the 2nd/3rd round.

Ill say Darrelle Revis goes no later than #12 to Buffalo. He really should be projected in the late teens to mid 20s but once Leon Hall goes, Revis wont be far behind.

Start with tight ends. Neither Olsen or Miller are more than low first rounders in my opinion, but some guys have them (specifically Olsen) going to Carolina or maybe even Cincy (who is fine without a tight end).

Harrell is a waste if he goes any higher than Indy in the first round, but based upon what I have read and seen in mocks, Boilermaker, Anthony Spencer would surprise me if he goes before the Pats pick for the first time in the first round.

Joe Staley -- hands down. Most here are forgetting that he was considered an early second-rounder. He's since moved up to a serious Pats consideration at #28, and now a legitimate candidate at #24. And yes, word is, some teams have him ranked as the #2 LT prospect overall, making him a top 20 possibility. Now THAT'S a riser.

LaMarr Woodley.
