What would your ideal Patriots draft look like? (realistic)

I have been through all the profiles and looked at more mocks than I care to admit too and have been on this board finding valuable info more than I have been working and thought it was time for everyone to show who their favorites are and show their ideal draft. I will start:
TRADES:
#24-trade down with TB and aquire picks #35 and #64
#180 and #202-trade up to pick #153

IDEAL DRAFT FOR ME:
#28-Brandon Merriweather-my #2 safety overall and think he has the potential to be an Ed Reed type.

#35-Lamaar Woodley-Honestly think he is the best player from the Wolverines team, a football player, to me he could be the next Adalius Thomas because I think he is versatile enough to do a lot of different things.

#64-David Harris- Smart, great tackler and has good speed, 2nd best ILB in this draft and would be a nice addition to the D

#91-Stewart Bradley- I know I have gone heavy at LB but we need youth and versatily.

#127-Michael Coe-bigger corner than has a lot of potential

#153-Dwayne Wright-kinda a poor mans Leonard Russell. Not superfast, but could be a nice compliment to Maroney. Catches the ball well and is a decent blocker in the pass game.Versatility is his biggest asset.

#171-Courtney Taylor-Taller wide reciever that runs great routes and has great hands. Not the fastest guy, but a lot of interviews with the corners coming out this year said he was the toughest guy they have ever faced.

#208-Mike Otto-Otto played LT but would probably be more of a guard or RT in the NFL, good size and footwork, durable, smart, 4 year starter from a system than does zone blocking

#209-Jeff Rowe-developmental QB that is smart. Good leadership skills and is an accurate passer. Not the strongest arm, but that can be developed.

#247-Keith Jackson-Big DT that would be a nice future backup to Wilfork. Not real tall, but is stout and good against the run, has the body to be a 3-4 NT.

so there you have it, no real huge reaches I don't think. I would love any comments on mine or to see what other people are thinking would make them a happy camper on draft weekend.

I'm confused MWP, are we talking ideal as in dream draft, or some attempt at reality? If the latter the games Nut and Mav started offered folks a format to show whom they liked while making some allowance for draft ranking. If your talking dreamland I can put together a doozy to upset the faithful!

I was hoping for a little bit of both. I love the "draft game" but I didn't want to confine people to some websites rankings of players. With that said, I don't think it would be benificial to have the patriots drafting Calvin Johnson at 24 and Laron Landry at 28 because that really is a fantasy that is impossible.

I don't mind stretching some guys so they fall to you, just don't want to see really crazy things.

2. After the Patriots Trade the rights to Marquise Hill the 28th pick and the Second round pick we got for Randall gay and take a additional 4th round pick the patriots select Patrick Willis. Everyone on Espn goes crazy and the Bills literally rip down their draft board.
3. The Patriots select Josh wilson who will be our nickelback for years to come.

4.Alot of people have this kid drafted alot of different spots but the Patriots take no chance at their highmotor highly coachable new special team demon.

4.Patriots need to get at least one wide reciever and here he is day hello to Johnny Lee Higgins and the patriots can't beleive he fell this far. Pioli and BB just lit up a victory cigar.

5.best player on the board here and you know BB can't resist he finally pulls the trigger on his new toy Ben Patrick Tight end says the kid loves to block and led his team in receptions trust me BB will find room for him on the roster.

Everything else who knows but if the draft fell this way The dynasty would remain for years and years to come.

What gives you the idea that Woodley is versatile? The idea that, as a linebacker, he was pulled in obvious passing situations? I have a hard time seeing Woodley as an Adalius Thomas.

I have a hard time believing that the Pats would draft 2 players from the same team, let alone 3 LBs in a row. Harris is intriguing, but a steal at 64.

#91-Stewart Bradley- I know I have gone heavy at LB but we need youth and versatily.

The only pick I truly like so far.

This seems to be very early for Wright. He's a projected 6th rounder.

Also, for a WR, I prefer Chris Davis because of his returing ability.

When you say "had the body to be a 3-4NT," usually that means built like Wilfork or Washinton. At 6'-305 he reminds me, somewhat, of Dan Klecko.

I think that the Pats would focus on safety or CB more than just the 2 measly picks you have them taking. I don't think those picks are enough, honestly.

Despite early byplay, I decided to approach this seriously (though without trying to use my crazed round one theory since it was whom I wanted), trying to get the players I thought would go the furthest to help the team. Part of that is looking at the learning curve for WR and LB looking ahead to 2008.

The issues I want to address in the draft are:
1. LB depth
2. Nickelback
3. RB depth
4. S depth
5. WR for 2008
6. Competition at OT and TE

Realistically, my two first round grade choices Carriker and Revis are unlikely to fall to 24. If they both fell I'd take Carriker first. I'd love a trade, and I think one will occur, but I'm not going to try and predict one here.

24: LB Stewart Bradley 6'3 1/2" 255 (Nebraska) - this kid is being looked at by at least five other teams and may not be there in round three. My #1 ILB, he can also play OLB.
28: CB Josh Wilson 5'9" 189 4.4/40 (Maryland) - If Revis falls to 24 (and Carriker doesn't fall) then Bradley gets taken here. Wilson is the next best Pro-ready CB. With Asante and Gay both looking for bigger paydays having a player closer to playing ahead of Scott is a plus.
91: WR Mike Walker 6'1 1/2" 209 4.35/40 (Central Florida) - averaged over 7 receptions and almost 100 yds/gm coming off a knee injury. Also plays FS.
127: S John Wendling 6'1" 222 (Wyoming) - I'd rather Piscatelli, but he is moving up, Wendling is the next best prospect to play both S positions.
171: LB Brian Robison 6'3" 256 (Texas) - ILB in high school and his freshman year, then moved to DE, punt blocker on Special Teams, very smooth in LB drills at Combine. Another ILB/OLB candidate like Bradley so the Pats have a pair to work with.
180: RB/S/P/KR Kevin Payne 6' 220 4.53/40 (Louisiana-Monroe) - finding a RB this late doesn't look good, time to re-sign Patrick Pass, but this kid may shift back to offense and help out, he'll be a good addition either way.
202: WR David Ball 6'1" 196 4.7/40 (New Hampshire) - his hands are outstanding, his change of direction at his Pro-day, 3.97 short shuttle and a 6.59 three-cone drill, are also outstanding. Slower then you'd like, but after seeing some of his catches in the Shrine Game I think worth trying out.
208: Dante Rosario 6'3" 244 4.78/40 (Oregon) - natural hands catcher who was reported to show impressive improvement in blocking at the point of attack. He's 1/8" taller then Grahambo and has a 3-cone under 7 sec if only a pedestrian 40.
209: OT Gabe Hall 6'4" 313 (Texas Tech) - 2 year starter at RT, converted TE, very athletic (4.9/40) which may allow him to be a swing tackle.
247: QB Jeff Rowe 6'5" 226 (Nevada) - As good a prospect to study behind Tommy and Matt as any.

So the Redskins are going to give up on, and eat the entire signing boni of, their last two first round picks AND take on a monster contract? Unlikely. In fact, I doubt they had the cap space if they wanted to.

I'd rather trade Samuel and the #24 to the Colts for Bob Sanders, Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, and the #31. Oh, and I'd like a pony, with a hot chick to ride it like the Broncos do. And cheerleader Holly, who'd instantly upgrade our unit.

The we'll use #28 to draft Revis, #91 for DeOssie, take some backups/ST aces with the Comp Picks, and trade the rest to Jacksonville for Maurice Jones-Drew, Matt Jones, Marcus Stroud, Rashean Mathis, and their first and second rounders next year. We might have to throw in Marquise Hill to sweeten the deal.

6c. Tyler Palko, QB, Pittsburgh, reminds me of Big Ben, tough and has an arm, then again he's 45 punds lighter

Compare that to Maroney, selected just 11 spots later, who landed a five-year, $8.735 million deal with a little over $6 million guaranteed. In the salary cap era, that’s a huge difference financially for two players who aren’t nearly that far apart in terms of ability.

The Patriots have not traded into the top 10 since Belichick arrived."

This is my reason for just wanting to get a mid/late rounder for Asante straight up. What did you think of the two mocks I posted?

I thougth your drafts were good. 2 quality players at LB and CB/S each. That's a good draft right there.

Someone else (Box) had Bradley and Wilson in the 1st. don't know why it would be necessary to reach like that...especially as this is a "dream" draft.
