Chad Jackson

so might aswell trade all the draft picks cuz they arent guranteed?
who said that? when you have an oppurtunity to get a good football player you do it, welker is proven, if you dont get it, thats to bad, players are traded for draft picks all the time, are you new to following football?

welker proved what? that hecan get under 700 yards? 10.3 average?

i guess when Jackson hits 650-700 yards then he wont be considered a bust becasue you think what Welker has done is worth a 2nd rounder. if Welker can get a second rounder..what do we do to get a pro bowl #1 WR? Give up 2 firsts and a 2nd?

the draft is the most overrated event in football

This is just funny. Every great NFL dynasty has been built on the draft.

i have no problem with Stallworth. I like him..but welker...for a 2nd round pick! YUCK

Welker is still my favorite pick up. Our 2nd rounders have done nothing for us lately. Hill, Johnson? Branch and Wilson were good picks but Branch is 3000 miles away and Wilson is still getting his hamstrings massaged. Welker can provide great versatility with the return game and he is a crafty slot receiver. He reminds me alot of Wayne Chrebet.

Remember we had to double team him in the 2nd game we faced Miami this year.

I was just looking over the 2000 draft and theres almost as many pro-bowlers in the 6th round as there were in the 1st.....

hey im not saying i dont believe in Beiloi. im just saying i was not a fan at all of the trade.

Welker is a slot WR ONLY. he said himself hes best suited for slot and not on outside.

his returns are average at best. id rather see Hobbs do it or Jackson

as a slot WR hes only gotten like 10 yard per catch

hes not a playmaker.

I disagree.
He's not a DEEP THREAT.
60+ catches and 30+ 1st downs sounds like a playmaker for me.

stallworth: 38 catches, 30 first downs :\ 19.1 avg 5 TDs in 11 games with a team that spreads it around like we do

Branch: 78 catches 51 first downs (when he was with us)

..even Kelly Washington has some nice stats regarding first downs per catch
