- No, you're re-BUILDING. The Pats retooled after the season with some WRs and a LB. Re-tooling is cleansing positions with age and bringing in fresh, young faces. Re-building is what Cam Cam is doing which is basically getting rid of old and useless bodies and getting draft picks for them to build your franchise for the future. You can only "re-tool" when your team has actually done something over the past couple of years. 9-7 doesn't count. And please, you and the rest of your fans, stop comparing your team to other good teams in the league. YOU ARE NOT A PLAYOFF CONTENDER EVERY ******* YEAR!!!
No we're NOT re-building!!!!!!!!!!!!! Miami has lost maybe three full time starters, the rest were backups.

Wow, another stupid statement! Evrything you decribed BB doing, Mueller is doing the same. You just decribed re-tooling and re-building as exactly the same things, you just put BB in front of one and Cam in front of the other...even though Cam has nothing to do with the changes made so far.
- The first "what the hell?" (there will at least be one more of them). What does that have to do with anything I just said. I said the Broncos had the best D in '05, sucked in '06 and you come up with that? You just agreed with me. The fins had an awesome D in '06, but '06 won't mean jack in '07. Just like "Trent Green was good three years ago" won't mean anything this year.
I see, so what the Jets and Saints did in 06 wasn't real?? Every year teams go from 4-12 like the 04 Chargers to 12-4 in 05. You know why you have the opinion the Dolphins won't succeed?? Cause you don't want them to succeed, don't confuse what you want with what you have no control over. Miami has a better D then NE, all we have to do is make the right changes to the O side of the ball to be a good team. So far, Miami seems to be doing that.
- Again, what the hell? Don't smoke before you come on here and try to join in on a debate. But please, point out where I said that the Pats have had better WR's than the Phins. Please? You can't, can you? Because I never said that. Here's what I said, and if you would like to address it, you're more than welcome:
- Chambers belongs in the slot, Booker is decent at best. I can't see Hagan panning out and Welker was the hardest working/most dependable receiver you guys had and now he's with *drum roll* US!
You can't see Hagan working out??? Hmmm, one season and you can't see him working out on top of everything else telent evaluator too, funny how everyone in a Dolphins uniform sucks or is avg. gosh that sure is awful bias of you!! Obviously the Pats don't need superstars to make the playoffs and suberbowl why should the Dolphins?? Don't even Bring the Dolphins WR into this argument they aren't the problem. But obviously this needs to be explained to you on a 5th grade level.
- Yes, backup. Thanks for agreeing with me since I basically said that he probably won't be able to hack a starting roll. Did you even read what I said before you wrote a response?
I think Ricky is more then a backup as far as his talent goes, but Ricky will step in here and play whatever role is asked of him, if that's a backup role then that's what he'll do. With that said Ricky is far more talented then 90% of the RB's in the league including Ronnie Brown. Ricky's age will be less of a factor then you want it to be because he's in shape and even though he wasn't in the NFL last year, he still played proball last year and did quite well. So basically Miami will have two starting RB's at their disposal if Ricky is reinstated, which looks pretty good at this point. If Ronnie goes down we have no dropoff in talent out of the backfield. Advantage....Miami!!
- I wouldn't put it past anybody on Fin Heaven to spend hours of their lives analyzing the Dolphins, but I just simply can't believe this. And I can't believe that all you guys buy into this. If you actually watched the Dolphins games (which I have watched being since I live in FLA), Culpepper was holding onto the ball way too long. Nobody can block a man for longer than 10 seconds. It's impossible. Unless you have Superman blocking a 13 year old kid with cancer. He held onto it for so long that he could finally find a man wide open (great job, Daunte!) and throw to him just as the D-Line closed in on him. I could do that.
Do you honestly think I give a damn what you believe?? The work the Fin poster put into to those threads took weeks of hard work braking down film play by play, second by second. Why?? Cause he's a footall fan and he wanted to see if the issues came from Dauntes holding the ball or the line not doing their job. As I already stated the line was by far the biggest issue.
Early in the season with a new OC and new Linemen and new QB and new plays. It all takes time. Of all the things that happen in football it takes the offense longer to mesh then any other part of the team. Not to mention the Dolphins faced teams that didn't make a ton of changes to their teams in the 06 offseason and those teams took far less time to get up to speed. All of thses things were factors in what we saw from the Dolphins in the first part of 06 If you're going to post as if you don't know this, then stop posting, because you come across as a novice football fan.
After five weeks of football the Oline was no better then it was the first 4 weeks. If the line were better as you suggest then the changes wouldn't have been made to the starting lineup after week 5 (the Pats game). Joey and Daunte have two different styles of play and Daunte wa vastly limited in his ability to move around in the pocket. That was an issue, but not enough that the line wasn't the problem because the changes were still made.
Daunte's real strength is his ability to make things happen when the play breaks down, he wasn't able to do that and it affected his game. Daunte's injury was sever, tearing three ligamnets in your knee is a major injury that only time can heal. Daunte tried to come back in the same amount of time as Carson Palmer who only tore one ligament, and if you watched Carson play the first part of the season he wasn't very comfortable at all on his repeaied knee and he made that point clear in interviews. Daunte has had almost two years to heal from the injury, he will be given every chance to compete this year. From all that he's done as a starting QB in the NFL, he's earned the chance.
- Yes, I remember that game. Harrington played with the same O-Line that Culpepper did and actually looked a lot better than him. Granted he threw a couple of picks, but he threw them to Asante Samuel one of the best corners in the league. So eat that. Behind the same O-Line, JOEY HARRINGTON looked better than your premier QB. Maybe you should have "shuffled the O-Line" (I put it in quotes because it was more like one or two guys getting moved around) a little bit sooner. Or just signed Drew Brees.
Waht are you 12??? Harrington came in a did a decent job, he was also completely healthy! Why is everything you write so full of half facts?? You write things about Joey, but then leave out Daunte's injured knee, like it had nothing to do with his ability to do what he does. Then you claim Joey played better, but leave out the fact that Joey was replaced by Cleo Lemon. You say the the Oline made changes, then dismiss the changes as f they weren't that big of a deal??
The left side of the line was the problem....only the most important part of the Oline. Ya know the Pats didn't have nearly as much trouble with their team and Joey Harrington and the Dolphins one agin find a way to spank the Pats, Bears and beat the KC chiefs. That's three playoff teams, we won those games with a crap load of issues on the Offensive side of the ball. So as much as you love to talk trash Miami held their own aginst soem of the better teams in the league. A few positive changes and some luck....something the Pats know all to well, and we could be a completely different team in just one offseason.
- Trent Green is 37 years old. Just let that sink in for a little bit. The thing I hate about most Phin fans is that they are stuck in the past. I guess this goes with everything since all you can do to back up wanting Trent Green is to say that he was good in 2003. This will be 2007.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off and I'm going to smoke a bowl.
Once again typical Pat fan, everything has to be worst case for everyone but the Pats. Trent Green isn't a Dolphin he's a Chief. "IF" the Dolphins sign him then you have no idea what he will do next year, you don't know if he will be a probowler or if he'll be injured the first game. So spear us your psycho bable about what Trent Green is, you have no more proof of what he will do next year then anyone else.
BTW little pot head, whens the last time the Pats won the SB?? And what year is this??? Lets hear your crap about the past!!
