Think of it.

They have 6 picks in the last three rounds that might as well be UDFA. They have the same chance of making the team, especially after our F.A. splurge.

We could carry 2 or 3 on the roster for a while, with Vinnie gone and one could stub his toe.

Some writer would undoubtedly call one the next Tom Brady.

This would confuse the rest of the league and 4 teams would eventually beg us to take future 4th round picks for each one.

i guess....i dont see how 6th round = UDFA though....brady,brown, AD thomas were all selected in the 200 area ...i would think that 1/4 of those picks might work this year.

We have 2 firsts, a third, a fourth and a fifth.

You think 4 sixths and a seventh have anymore chance of making this team than a UDFA?

Remember, we're talking this team, not one of the past teams where BB didn't even bother filling the roster.

Why QB though? Why not WR or CB or Safety?

You'd have a hard time getting 6 QBs time in training camp to see how they are.

I think it is a stupid idea.

All i know is that, starting with passing camp in a bit over a month ...
i want plenty of arms out there throwing to all those WRs
that don't belong to ol' "Probable - Shoulder".

I hope this is a joke...

Seems reasonable enough given Ray's track history.

Ray, you need to put together a poll with multiple votes so we can pick the four best demagogically.

Why not four punters?

Rather than draft 4 quarterbacks in the 6th round, I'd rather see

them draft one and add another UDFA quarterback. I'd use the other picks to

stock up on linebackers and defensive backs and hope a couple

could make the team.

What a silly idea, why don't we just trade all our 6th round picks for Calvin Johnson?

Look at out history drafting quarterbacks in the 6th round. Compare it to our 6th round history at all other positions.

'nuff said.

Good point. I'm not sure exactly, but we must have 10 or 12 WRs plus 3+ tight ends, garret Mills, Heath, Faulk and Sammy Morris. Do we want to waste Tom Brady's arm throwing to all of them?

And we have had how many UDFA quarterbacks win SuperBowls?

You really think someone would do that?

Maybe, if we asked them super nicely...or tried some kind of hypnosis, I'm not sure. Something along those lines.

EDIT: I have a new plan, if we offer to trade our next 175 6th round picks, we should have enough points on the value chart to get the 2nd pick in the draft. Worth thinking about if you're BB.

Speaking of which...I've recently decided that you should be able to battle other teams for draft picks. Everyone's craving Willis or Landry. Well let's say we want pick #8, the hell with trading up, what if we could just fight them for it? I haven't thought out the logistics yet, but I'm working on it...kind of like capture the flag, but with draft pick rights.

If we could get Johnson, we could trade a whole set of wide receivers.

I know collectibles are worth more in a set. And Johnson should be our 13th or 14th receiver.

LOL. His contributions could come on special teams then. Our 13th receiver better be one friggin hell of a gunner.
