Last offseason a rookie rb had surgery on both shoulders. Major questions swirled about his durability. His name: Frank Gore.

He had a monster year and took a good beating while doing it.

I seriously think Maroney is going to be the next Frank Gore. Maroney is more talented and has better O-line to work with. Brady getting in sync with his new receivers should free up running room for our RB's as well.

What does that have to do with Maroney. I hate it when people make these comparisons.

Gore isn't anything to laugh about... I hope your correct.

It has to do with the people panicing and wanting them to draft lynch because maroney had minor shoulder surgery

Many fans are overreacting to Maroney's surgery. Pony is pointing out an example of a RB coming off of a promising, but injury affected rookie season and needing shoulder surgery. A RB who happened to nearly lead the league in rushing the following year.

Maroney will be fine. He'll be a stuf 1100-1400 yard back for the next 5 years of his contract. Stop worrying, and, for god's sake, stop picking Bryan Leonard in your mock drafts.

I like Brandon Jackson, now that would be a good comparison, since he had shoulder surgery in '05, then ran good on '06 :)

Yup..."routine" surgery for a RB and yes, he wil be fine (his Mom told us all that and Moms do not lie).

Maroney is already better than Gore. He got like 5 on his Wonderlic, he's pretty much ******ed. Let's try not to make any more comparisons like this.
