Matt Cassel's Pocket Presence

From what i've seen and read about Cassel, he is a good QB but my main worry is his Attitude, what i mean by that is he's happy to be a backup behind the Best QB in the league while season by season his career is slipping Away!!

Put yourself in his shoes, would You stay as a backup to Brady, getting minimum money and your career is slipping away season by season, year by year...

Yes i know some people will say, he's learning off the best, but what good is that knowledge if you Never get a chance to put it to use! Personally, i wouldn't. I'd want the starting job.

Maybe he realizes he still has alot to learn and what better way than to learn from the best.... And he does still have alot to learn, so why rush trying to be a starter somewhere, when he can learn from the best... I bet Matt isn't stupid and knows what he's doing, so why not make the best of it and be happy being a backup and learning....

I'd say right now Cassel has it as good as he possibly could have had it, barring another Mo Lewis-style hit. Remember--it's highly unlikely that any other team would have drafted him in the first place.

That said, I suspect he's going to get his chance to start--sadly, with another team--in 2008. Who knows . . . maybe the Redskins or Raiders will offer up their first in 2008 for him. :)

True, well lets be honest, Obviously barring a disaster, he'll never get the starting role at NE.

I've mixed emotions on this one, i'd be sad to see him go but i'd like to see him get a starter role aswell. Your probably right, 2008 he'll prob leave, well he will if he has any Innotive or drive!
