I know **** Vermeil may have the least credentials or star power, But I seen an NFL Documentery on him, ,maybe it was "In their own words" I'm not sure, but They had his former players from High School, talking about him, and how they still have maintained contact all theese years, and what he meant to them. He just Seems like a guy everyone would want to win for.

I'm sure Lawyer Milloy wouldn't say the same about Bellichick. (haha) But some people want different things from their coach.

Anyways I thought it would make for an interesting Poll.

Who me? Well, ok. I guess I'd like to play for Barry Switzer. He parties with the players and will even cancel practice if everybody is hung over enough.

The guys on the list you provide would only make you bust your butt.
Screw that.

In my book, Be,ichick is the best ever. The guy seems incredibly consistent. I'd ask for nothing more in a boss. If you're a consistent person, then the people that play for you will appreciate it more than any rah rah stuff.

BTW. How come Chuck Knoll isn't on the list. I mean, he only won more Superbowls than any of those guys.

nobody wants to play for knoll.

come on now.

I maintain that BB is the greatest of all time, but given that list, as a player, Vermeil is the guy I'd most likely put it on the line for.

marty shottenheimer....

if i was coached by this guy....i woudlnt have to worry about a sore body or being exhausted in january

**** vermeil for me because the only way i ever get into the nfl is if they have open tryouts! :D

I think you missed Joe Gibbs - In his prime there was no better coach on an NFL field...and that includes Bill Walsh

Its all about winning,No matter if he was tough on you or not

At one time would have chosen Parcells, however BB outdistances them all.. worked for crappy state agencies, who had terrible leadership continually.. would have welcomed organized, task oriented people.

I Thought about Adding Gibbs and Shula, but I thought they were a little too boring.

sorry.

Maybe I don't get the joke. I don't really think **** Vermeil ever had open tryouts. Where at UCLA?

Watch the movie "Invincible"....Vince Papale played for Vermeil with the Eagles

Bill Bellichick,he is the best coach ever :) :)

Wow. There are a lot of homers around here. BB is great and I personally have some man love for him, but I still think Lombardi is the best of all time. His name is only on the trophy. So I voted for him. If we win one more Super Bowl, then that changes.
