Big Vince continues to defy the odds and look remarkable

Vince's recovery is remarkable. Someone of our steady posters is a physician/surgeon who provided all of us the updated techniques for surgically repairing ACLs and knees. They seem to include replacing pieces of bone the ACLs are attached to, and perhaps opening up the hole through which the ligaruns. It was fascinating to discover that the replacement tendon is not an ACL, but another ligament, but is actually much stronger than an original ACL.

Can he do the same for Achilles repairs, please?

Vick Ballard will be another player hoping for a successful recovery.

The Colts saw running back Vick Ballard get carted off the field at practice on Friday and initial reports are that Ballard has suffered a severe injury for the second straight season.

Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that Ballard tore his Achilles tendon during the workout. That sets up another lost season for Ballard, who tore his ACL in the first week of the 2013 season and missed the remainder of the season.

Best of luck to him. It sounds like he could use all the good luck he can get.

I never had any doubt in Wilfork, he is a phenomenal player, with amazing talent for a player his size, he is consistently one of the hardest working players on the team, and most important he loves the F-ING game. I have said for years and will continue to say that Wilfork is to the defense what Tom Brady is to the offense.

On a side note, anyone who doubts Brady finishing his career in a Patriots uniform should flashback to how the team handled the Wilfork situation, it was ugly at first, but the team made sure it was done. Kraft and Belichick are not stupid they know what these types of players due on the field, in the locker room, and in the community.

I'm with you about Thompkins i think he is very underated. but about wilfork why does this board keep acting like he was ted washington 2.0? he was different ive never seen a guy that size move like he did maybe only other big guy that was more freakish is brock lesnar when he was in the ufc for a guy that size they should not move that quick.
You probably need to watch a little more Sumo Wrestling @xlcjw72. They are tremendous athletes.

It's encouraging to read Wilfork's positive news. Let's hope it turns out for the best as I simply like watching him play football.

Yikes, that's a real shame. Kendall Hunter was hurt today too, but he didn't get carted off so hopefully it's nothing major.

For God's sake Coach, let us put the full-contact pads on! We're getting killed out here!

He's just a remarkable athlete for real. It's a privilege to watch him play, IMHO.
