It seems like it could be potentially huge...

who is against drafting RB now..If he cant come fullspeed.. You lay the game oN Heath Evans/Faulk/Morris...

what do you do in this situation, supposing this is where its heading?

I wouldn't worry about it too much, RB have been flying around the league, some (like Dillon) are still sitting out there. If Maroney were unlikely to be ready I think we'd have another guy to go with Morris.

Now we have more insight into why Morris was scooped up so quickly. Now, why did this leak out now? It makes you wonder what people knew about the surgery before and if this leak was part of a predraft disinformation campaign.

Maybe I'm just optimistic tonight but if this were a serious concern for 2007 I think we'd have signed a second good RB by now. Morris is a solid guy to start for a few games as needed but if it might be just him and Faulk, something else likely would have been done . . . or maybe we will draft Leonard ;)

Drafting Leonard works for me.

Lynch......

I'm only taking Leonard if they trade into the second round, he's not first round talent.

you could always give up a 1st and 3rd for michael turner, since you've got an extra one, but you'll probably just trade down with one of your 1sts, get an extra pick or player, and get leonard anyway.

If Maroney's injury was serious, I think we would have kept Corey Dillon

or been active in free agency to secure a starting running back. I think

that we probably will acquire a running back on day two of the draft.

Michael Bush, Irons, or Booker on 2nd day then?

Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought they just had the surgery and were suprised at how much damage there was and how serious the injury was.

Tomase worded it kind of funny but the surgery was done back in January.

its stupid to even consider a RB in round 1. Lynch - back problems and Maroney will be fine. If he wasnt fine youd think we would keep Dillon or pickup a guy like Jamal Lewis, Reuben Droughns or a previous starter

That would be nice, wouldn't it? :rocker:

I'm guessing the Chargers really didn't want to let Turner go this year. Some reporter described Turner as a player "no one can afford." Really, the problem is that he has a price no team wants to pay.

that's true, because technically any team with a 1st and 3rd can afford him.

i suspect we only placed the high tender on him to determine where he goes via some kind of trade.
