Belichick revelations could soon mean the end for TFB?

dont mean to toot my own horn.....but i suspected this years ago.......toot toot......:p

As Felger and Mazz said today, all Albert did was throw a bunch of dung against the wall to see what sticked.

Math works great for . . . Math. Using math to get an absolute from talk, rumor, surmise and concepts which can change on a moments notice makes it not work so well.

Bill probably meant it when he said it. When he's 69 he will determine if things have changed or not. When I was around 20 I was sucking down donuts and my Dad mentioned that it might shorten my life. I said I would prefer to live 50 good years than 70 miserable ones. He said let's see how you feel at 49. Things change. I'm now 47 and weigh less than I did at 20.

If Brady is on the Patriots roster at the end of this regular season, he becomes uncuttable until 2017 since his 2015/2016/2017 salaries would then be fully guaranteed.

Miguel: two questions here—

(1) Has that been definitively established? I seem to remember there being a question about whether it was entirely guaranteed at the end of this year, or on a year-by-year basis (i.e., being on the roster at the end of 2014 guaranteed 2015 only).

(2) It would preclude cutting him, but would it preclude a trade? I would guess not, since the new team would take on his salary.

Albert, bud I think you just stepped in it. Hey clueless we all watch the press conf and we all see how BB treats you. Your the last person BB would give some sort of scoop to.

People commonly want two different things that are mutually exclusive. That doesn't mean they'll knock themselves out to actually finagle having both.

Don Yee's mouthpiece, Peter King, is the one who created the question but when Jason Fitzgerald and Joel Corry and others with NFLPA access say that it is the end of the 2014 regular season I go with the latter group. They do not have an agenda.

The only thing I got out of that was that Bill plans to still be here after Brady. He hopes to be able to win a super-bowl without Brady because in 5 years Brady may not be here and in all likelihood Bill will.

thats basically what i got, too.......although i wouldnt be shocked if brady doesnt make it all 4 years as the starting QB of the NEP.......BB's ego regarding his legacy and greatness in NFL history is massive......he will trade or bench brady in year 3 and/or 4 if he thinks "thats whats best for the team.....and his own legacy"

just my opinion

If it's his legacy versus the team's success, though. . . .

well, I finally held my nose and clicked.

Perhaps the most revealing thing came when Breer said, “One of the things that he’d (meaning Belichick) like to prove he can do is win a Super Bowl without having the benefit of having one of the best quarterbacks of all-time.” Breer even went on to say that Belichick will outlast Brady in Foxboro.

Assuming that these comments came from Bill himself, or at least someone close to him, they are some very revealing statements about Brady’s future potentially.

I'm pretty sure I'm not going to assume any such thing. Breer's opinions may be correct — they do make some sense to me. But to attribute his take to any direct comment — or "revelation" — from BB on the subject seems off target to me.

Breer and BB must have been lovers at one time. There is no other way a person could develop such a deep level of scorn for another.

All of this idle speculation has nothing to do with the idle speculation I care most about..

In what capacity does Brady continue on with the Patriot organization once he is no longer our QB?

Followed by:

Is Robert Kraft my long lost grandfather and do I have a chance of inheriting the Patriots?

Garopollo who is not even likely to overtake Mallett for the backup in most peoples mind is going to replace Tom Brady next season. Makes sense to me……………

You know the difference between the slot they took Ryan Mallett and the slot they took Jimmy Garopollo, 12 draft picks, 12, Garopollo is here to replace Mallett as Brady’s backup, he is not the heir apparent to Brady. That is a designation he will have to work hard to earn over the next 3-4 years. What Belichick does is smart economics, he gets a very good backup QB that could potentially return something in a trade, and he has the backup for under $1M per season. So sure he uses a draft resource but he makes up for it by freeing up $2M+ in cap space, because a solid backup can cost as much as $5M.

You or myself have no idea what Jimmy G will turn into. He could be a great NFL QB..he could suck. We just won't know until he steps on the field in do or die time.

He may have not been drafted thinking about Bradys replacement..but if some major injury was to happen to Brady..who knows.
