Which player in Patriots history even if for one particular moment in time makes you pick them to be the most embarrasing/infamous player ever to wear a NE Patriots uniform?

Which player did something that makes you wish they never were on the team...

THE PERFORMANCE ON THE FIELD AS FAR AS TALENT GOES DOES NOT COUNT IN YOUR SELECTION - ITS BASED ON WHAT THEY DID OFF THE FIELD OR SOMETHING SAID IN THE MEDIA ECT:

My vote is ...

Zeke Mowatt WR in the 1980s who allegedly made leud comments and exposed himself to a female reporter in the locker room - For the first time in my life (and last time too) I was embarrased to be a Patriots fan at that time..it was disgusting and IMO no other Patriots player ever was worse off field wise to make me cringe like that.

I don't think I need to say the context, everyone should already know.

I don't know whatever came of it, but wasn't Dave Meggett charged multiple times with sexual assault crimes? If guilty of any of those he's got to be #1 on this list. Also, does Christian Peter count?

Meggett was charged ..but like most famous athletes got away with most of it - Christian Peter never wore a Patriots uniform or played in a game so he does not count but a nice pick anyway,Many fans forgot him before he even left here officially - Is he still a member of the Giants where I think he ended up?.

I was thinking Dave Meggett myself. Didn't he get busted again recently in Canada or something?

Zeke Mowatt is the most notorious guy imo. The Olsen incident with the reporter was talked about for weeks. And the team was so bad that year anyways it was like a lowlight of the year. Mowatt is a name that will live in infamy for what that's worth.

Didn't he get caught with Ecstasy coming over the border and blamed it on his cousin, too?

Also, Terry Glenn with the sunglasses on saying "You do the math...I D-I-D did!"

Has to be Zeke.

i beleive that was actually bledsoe..

Zeke Mowatt, although Kiam made it even worse with his "classic b1tch" label about Olson. A 1-15 team with players acting in such a manner and the *owner* shifting the blame...made the team an embarassment to root for from top to bottom. This question didn't include non-players and if it did, I'd probably put Kiam on top.

Regards,
Chris

Just think of all the good that has happened, but may not have, since NE exposed a few of its "Patriot Missiles".

A member on Patriots Planet has an interesting take here. (This is a very long read and the ending a little too clean and quick, but it is quite good nonetheless. Certainly it is worth the effort.)

Indeed Kiam's behavior was ironically beneficial to the future of the Pats. On a related note, I'd add that Michael Jackson has played in indirect role in a brighter Pats future in that his Victory tour forced the Sullivans to sell the team.

Phil W (PatsWickedPissah) and I did a list on usenet a while back about the most important moments in Pats history and included these items.

Chris

Irving fryar smashing his car into a tree at half time of a game ranks up there, he also almost cut his finger off with a kichen knife a few days before the super bowl in 86

Damn, you gots a good memory Chris, regarding the USENET post I mean, not Michael Jackson, Mowatt & Kiam.

For whatever events, including Orthwine's stewardship, Parcells' agreeing to come here, etc. that aligned to produce the Krafts' ownership, one that learns from its mistakes, I'm forever greatfull.

Some other non-player embarrassing would be Clive Rush, his whole time here from being electrocuted to the black power defence to his very odd behavior.
Chuck Fairbanks quiting on the team right before the playoffs in 1978 is still the most embarrassing and low down thing in Patriots history. I know that the Sullivan's made it hard but you deal with that in the off season not when you are the second send going into the play-offs(that was a great team also).

Didn't Kenyatta Jones throw boiling water into his roommate's face a couple years back?
