I don't know if this is just hyperbole, but it's disconcerting nonetheless. I'm beginning to wonder if Bob's losing touch with where he came from, judging by the ill-advised south end zone "lounge" plan and now this.

There's nothing "easy" about playing a grueling football schedule where your shortest trip is over 3,000 miles and 5 time zones.

It may work financially, but it would be a disaster competitively.

By the way, any London team would probably come into the AFC East. It would especially make sense if it was Jacksonville who moved to just have the "London Jaguars" join the AFCE and move Miami to the AFCS. So this is an issue that will impact the Patriots on a yearly basis.

I believe that most team owners (and obviously Goodell) have been pushing for this for awhile now, so Kraft's comments really aren't anything new in my opinion. They want more money--it's as simple as that. I agree with SB39's comments that the whole idea is a complete disaster, but I believe that it will probably get done in the next 5 years.

I agree. In fact, not only are his comments nothing new, but he seems to make the exact same comment every other year or so. I know Kraft has spoken on this issue before.

Kraft's comments ARE new in terms of wanting to see it done within the next six years. That's pretty damn soon.

I think we see this about once a week in the past year or so, to be completely honest. At worst, it comes up somehow once a month from some owner.

Just off the top of my head, another very influential owner made comments a couple weeks prior to free agency. As the first comments from the initial fan says "maybe Jones should start by putting a team in Dallas first."

About a month ago, another extremely influential owner in ATL made comments about having a team "by the end of the decade" as well. As a matter of fact, he wants TWO there.

I think these owners simply see the green and that steers them towards some odd decisions, or at least what sure appear to be odd at the moment.

Maybe Tune is right that Kraft hasn't been talking about it since the owner's meetings, but I think it's just inevitable at this point. Nothing can stop this from happening, which is a damn shame for whomever ends up getting stuck playing on that team.

They'll have to play 4 games in a row at home, then 4 in a row on the road.

Whatever...we'll still watch, and they know it! Maybe that weirdo Mark Cuban was on to something when he spoke of the "over saturation" that would quickly occur in the NFL.

The upside of having money chasing business men as owners is that a league will be more likely to succeed financially. The downside of having money chasing businessmen as owners is that the league will see everything that makes it worth succeeding eventually ruined by the need of owners to squeeze every last penny out of things.

It's happening in all 4 of the major sports, just as it started to really happen with businesses in general at the end of the 70's and into the 80's.

I'd love it if we had a team in London, the NFL needs to get to the world stage if it hopes to compete with soccer which is going to grow in popularity by leaps and bounds. Globalization is the key to any sports survival over the next century.

Screw the logistics aspect, it'd be fun.

I think the NFL is doing just fine in their current, mostly-not-global model.
