Could something be done about the quote boxes?

Thanks for the new site Ian, it is attractive and fantastic. One thing that's gotten more noticeable to me is the quote boxes. I like to quote who I'm responding to and I post a lot of brief excerpts from articles.

I'm going back to just put "..." around this great info about our young receivers because this is how much that shows up when I use the quote function.

I doubt people will expand every quote over a line or two. Not the end of the world, but doesn't function as intended. Thanks if or if not you can do anything.

Got you. That'll be tough only because it's how Xenforo set it up, although I'll do some digging to see what I can do. Were you just looking to increase the excerpt? Just trying to get a feel for what you're looking for to see if I can help fix it

Well, if it was bigger, most quotes would at least likely have the meaning even if you had to expand for the whole quote.

I didn't know if it was a fixed thing. I realize you can't just plug in the simple box from past editions, but something that could reliably display at least eight or more lines would at least make the quote box functional.

Just thought I'd bring it up since i like to quote a lot to make my references understandable and i assume others have noticed this, but not enough to make a suggestion.

Other applications have a different colored background or other methods of distinguishing the quote from the rest of the text, so maybe there's a gimmicky work around that's easy.

Thanks for replying. The site is very visually attractive and fun, with the new multiple like/funny etc. buttons. Thanks for all your hard work.

I just figured out how to expand it, which has been done, so let me know if that works better now

That's definitely better. If it were up to me, I'd make it as big as possible, since it obviously shrinks to the size of the quote anyway.

It's sure better than before, thanks.
