What players did you get down on your knees and pray for the Patriots to draft, only to have the Pats pass him and draft someone else. Then, the person you wanted turns out to be a bust.

One of the guys I wanted the Pats to draft was Jonathan Sullivan.

David Terrell, Koren Robinson, Robert Ferguson would head a class of dozens...

Jonathan Sullivan drafted in a parrarel universe with the Pat's would of been awesome. He would of been a beast in BB's system.<{No idea really} Instead he got drafted by a lousy club that evidently didn't expect or teach excellence. Maybe, maybe not, just a theory.

Not in the first round, but I remember wanting them to take Donald Hayes. And, I thought that I was right when he had one good year with Carolina.

i was so pissed they got richard seymour instead of david terrell
on the other hand i was also pissed they got chad jackson instead of greg jennings

Players who ive wanted this team to take.

Steven Jackson
Darnell Bing
Kelley Washington
Chris Gocong
Daniel Bullocks

are only recent players that come to mind.

steven jackson and kelley washington for me too
even when we got corey i still wanted steven jackson, i knew we had to take wilfork, then i was hoping wed trade up somehow and grab jackson
as for kelley washington i wanted him instead of bethel

i also was extremely angry when they took andy katzenmoyer instead of jon jansen

Going to far back for me. Im only 20 and just started following the draft 5 years or so ago. I remember Andy and all of his neck injures but cant remember anything about the draft etc.

The only reason i was extremely high on washington and still am is because belichick said something to the degree of "we're willing to take a chance on greatness" regarding kelley and its stood out to me ever since. Bill himself has said this guy is absolutely special and if not for the injuries would be a top 15 round 1 pick.

Ditto, I remember thinking OH no,, how can this guy help us.

It takes a big man to admit his mistakes. Of course I think I'm currently running 0-for four years on the Patriots draft game.

BTW, maybe it was that Brady kid that made Terrell looks so good, why don't we draft him.

I was pretty psyched when we drafted Ryan Claridge. Still feel kind of bad about him.

Well that kind of thing that happened with Claridge is not football related so it's not really something that you can predict. He was probably a pretty talented football player if the Pats felt strongly enough to draft him.

David Terrell (I'm sure glad I wasn't picking the groceries that year! lol)
Lavar Arrington (not that we had a shot at him, but i thought he was gonna be the next Lawrence Taylor)
DeAngelo Williams (in retrospect, i'm glad we got maroney and it's way too early to call him a bust but i thought he had potential to be the next Emmitt Smith)
DeWayne Robertson (not really a bust, but I thought he was the best lineman at his position at the time of the draft. Glad we didn't trade up for him and got Warren instead)

haha
yeah im usually not too close with the pats
ive actually been right on with the celtics lately though
two yrs ago i was prayin for gerald green
the yr before that i was prayin for al jefferson
the yr before i was wrong though, i wanted leandro barbosa and sofoklis shortsanitis instead of banks and perkins (i guess i was one for two on that one)

I can admit it, I would have been fired long ago based on some of the guys I wanted:

2002: Instead of Graham, I wanted Marc Columbo T. Well about 2 or 3 knee surgeries later he might have about 30 games under his belt.

2003: Thought that William Joseph DT Miami looked pretty darn good. I hardly knew anything about Warren.

2004: I can certainly say that I did not see a TE coming at #32 and I wanted either Snee, Dansby, Lehman, Smiley, or Thomas. Some have turned out to be pretty decent, but I am happy with Watson and still hopeful for more good things to come.

Kenyata Walker
Gerrard Warren
Jimmy Kennedy
Chad Jackson

Chad Jackson

Amusing. But it does bring this to mind...

This board had a pretty big collective crush on WR Mike Hass last year. Hass was drafted low, cut in TC, and spent the season on another team's practice squad before heading off to NFL Europe. And unlike Jackson, he wasn't injured.

So I'm good with Chad.

Jimmy Kennedey
Tyrone Calico
Ricardo Coclough
Barrett Rudd
Marlin Jackson
Chad Greenway

I remember being p'od that Ladainian Tomlinson was drafted by San Diego right in front of us with the 5th pick. I still am. lol

I remember wanting T Matt Stinchomb and Lj Shelton more than Woody.

If we were going to take a RB last year I wanted DeAngelo Williams.

I wanted Ashton Youboty instead of 2 TE's last year also.
