Most elusive RB ever?

Gale Sayers or Barry Sanders.

Its a toughie, but my vote would have to go to Barry.

Sayers was no slouch in that department either........impossible to choose, impossible.

Sanders had turf as well which is more conducive to a quick cut and reversal.

Best to leave it as these two guys were simply the best....

Theres a guy named Ricky Watters who was pretty good in his prime as well....Eric ****erson was one of those guys too...There are many others that can be mentioned as well as elusive runners whether they were bigger physical type backs or not.

Regardless of what kind of human being he is (and my opinion of him on that score is off the bottom end of the scale), O.J. Simpson was one hell of an elusive runner too.

I think Barry Sanders is the most extraordinary athlete I've ever seen, never mind the most elusive running back.

That the poor sod had to play his entire career up there with one of the world's three worst professional sports outfits was a great loss to the sport, because talent like that should be illuminating the biggest stages.

A lot of you guys are very young, Gale Sayers was sick !! 5 TD's in one game, all of the different varieties, Running, Receiving & Returns all in the same game. No question Sayers & Sanders are #1 & #2 alltime (as far as elusiveness), but I'd have to say Gale Sayers was #1. Watch some highlites sometime.

I also have to go with Gale Sayers, he was just an elusive gazelle out there. Barry Sanders was the most unpredictable in my book though....just incredible!

I was watching the NFL network the other day & they had a show on highlighting Barry's career. They were showing his college highlights & then said something like "Barry Sanders before the draft said he hoped he was drafted by a team that would feature the run & privately hoped the Lions wouldnt draft him". Can you imagine what Barry would of done behind a great O-line like Dallas? God the Lions are so god damn stupid.

I've never seen footage of Sayers playing.

That being said, they played 20 years apart and the game changed immensely over that time. I don't think you can make the comparison to be honest.

Barry Sanders was the ONLY player that I ever ENJOYED watching SHRED our defense....

Best RB I have ever seen period.
